You want to read the documentation on configuration and firmware upgrades: upgrading the firmware ( especially for old versions, but really always ) means you need to update the firmware to latest version *and* the config to the very latest example config ( if you are updating from a recent firmware/config you can technically skip this by relying on the upgrade notes, but really it doesn't seem like that's the case here ).
So : upgrade firmware, grab latest config example, *port values* from old config, read documentation where confused. If you need more detailled help don't hesitate to ask.
