I am in Titusville, beside the Kennedy Space Center.
I just stepped in it!
By that, I mean I bought a Prusa Mendel plastic kit from [www.lulzbot.com] . I also got the RAMPS 1.2 from them.
I had an Arduino Mega, a couple of the right steppers and a couple of Pololu drivers, so I bought the remaining steppers, drivers and belts from [ultimachine.com]
It's all in the mail as I write this. I still need the hardware. Unfortunately, I asked if it was metric or SAE after the purchase and it turns out to me metric, so that may drive up the cost.

I am at the Community School of Naples and we are building a MakerBot Mendel Prusa Kit. Some local expertise would be helpful. Mechanically finished, now working on alignment and testing before our first print.
This is a project of our high school Robotics class and some students have expressed interest in building their own.

In this thread Entropy is using Arduino 0.23 instead of 0.22.

So I backed the "Printxel" printer that's on KickStarter and can't
wait untill it gets here sometime in July. It looks like a great lil' printer.

I got the bot on 7/26/12 and spent 7hrs putting it together.
Then on 7/27 did a couple of test prints and this was the 3rd. attempt.
