3D Printing Service.

Anybody used a 3D printing service to create their initial Reprap parts?

I have found a few 3D printing services and will send off some STL files to get quotes, but was wondering if anybody has used a service and what their experiences were. Are they miles more expensive than getting reprap parts via ebay.

Thanks Keith

Okay I got a couple of quotes for printing the Prusa parts as per the four plates.

One said over £600 + VAT

The other costed each plate as follows

Plate1 £391.25
Plate2 £263.92
Plate3 £286.24
Plate4 £139.34

Which I make £1080.75 + VAT

Obviously both costs were way over the top as far as I am concerned. Not surprised but was interesting to see how much more expensive than buying reprap printed parts via ebay.

Have you tried i.materialize?
They are usually cheaper than Ponoko or Shapeways.
