First/second layer fill too dense, no space for extruded material, jam. - WHY ?

Hi, I am extruding 0,4mm height, 0,6mm width. , calibrated extruder, 3.0mm filament , and building perfect 0.6mm thin walls. (using the 0.5mm test object)

SFACT draws perfect triple walls, with space inbetween, when filling the surface, it's sinmply too dense, nozzle can barely eject the material to one side , and goes eventually full.

is it so, that the 0.5mm test object must me 0.5mm ? . is it any good to calibrate SFACT using it, and telling sfact that the extrusion is 0.6mm ? what else can cause this problem ?

The wall thickness of the finished part should 0.5mm

Calibrate your firmware so that when you tell it to extrude 100mm it extrudes exactly 100mm +/- 0.02mm (use a caliper)

set your filament diameter (also measured with a caliper) and your packing density (1 for pla and ~0.95 for abs)

after that, no matter what else you change (layer height, nozzle diameter, infill width / thickness) don't matter. The same amount of material will be extruded for a given fill ratio.

Those other variables will only effect print quality.

For sfact the names are different:

packing density = E-steps corrector

If you want a 0.5mm extrusion, change extrusion width to 0.5 and layer height to 0.3

Yep - the solution was to correct E-steps - it was way too high (default700) - accurate= 615.
Thank you.
