Some things I forgot to mentioned in the video..
The brake line nut thread side was cut down.
Both sides of the PTFE tube are tapered.
The riser pipe is cold to the touch at least half way up. Though I don't know what'll happen after a long heating session.
Extrusion pressure is similar to the MK5.

Plan for the thermal barrier is to put a sheet of steel between brake line nut and the coupling. Then add a second sheet of steel above with M3 steel bolt standoffs. The second sheet then bolts to the filament pusher via long M3 steel bolt standoffs. I'll also likely do some sort of fan cooling of the upper steel plate and riser pipe.

For heating the tip I want to try nichrome. I know it is so last year, but I've never used it before and it seems ideal with this configuration.

If anyone has any feedback or potential gotchas I'd love to hear them.
