Had an idea for my upcoming build (reprap) of whether i could obtain a resin and hardener that wouldnt cross-link when mixed till a reasonable sort of temperature (40C?). Then instead of a solid to liquid extruder the resin/hardener could wait mixed in a hopper controlled by a small valve.

If needed the hopper would be cooled via a thermoelectric plate to keep it under the reaction temperature and another heater used on the reprap printing base to promote the cross-linking on the layed down material.

The upside is that fibers/recycled materials can be used as fillers and unlike current printing methods there would be a chemical bond between each layer of printing , possibly with fiber reinforcing making way for proper structural components to be reprapped.

In order to avoid the part bonding to the printing surface a grease of some sort would be pasted on before the print.

Any ideas? im wondering whether such miracle resin/hardener combination exists. Even if it was to react at room temperature, the only real need is that it wont react when cooled to say 4-5 Deg C
