Design using watter pipe if the pipe is replaced by 8020 could it be straighter and strong enough? 8020 makes 2 kinds of extruded aluminum blocks the ones with the holes in it might be used to make a kit for less need for a drill press...
If the restrap needs to be built from the least number of tools that method might be it..
