Semiconductor ink

I came across this:-

which describes a new ink that is an N type semiconductor. There are already P type semiconductor inks according to the article, so one day we might even be able to print not just the circuit boards but the semiconductors as well.

They talk of using a modified ink jet printer, maybe we should introduce them to the world of RepRap.

Actually, the scale of the conducive strands look quite large. Maybe
on the purpose, for the fair demo?

PS. Although I'm not affiliated in any way with Nikkei BP,
I want to advertise their site at [techon.nikkeibp.co.jp]
as it often contains a lots of very interesting stuff invented
in Japan. And the articles have been translated surprisingly
well into English.

Seriously, does anybody have any inkling,
how easy it would be to "liberate" this technology
of printable electronics for the DIY'ers?
(After all, haven't the researchers used the
inkjet printers in their labs?)
