I've seen New Image Plastics mentioned, but they don't carry PLA. Does anyone have a good distributor/supplier for PLA?

I was looking for the same thing. It seems that no one supplies PLA in the US. Hopefully this is untrue!

McMaster-Carr most certainly doesn't carry that--it took me a while to figure out what plastic you were asking about.

Which is odd, but I can understand the economic implications of producting it despite its green nature. It's the same argument about bio-fuels, where you're taking an agrian food source and turning it into a different product than orignally intended.

Ok, so no luck with a supplier.

I hear that you can make this stuff, but how involved is the process, and do you have to ferment your own LA or can you buy the stuff off the shelf?

Hi Everyone.
I have a family member that owns a plastic processing company that has been extruding the 3mm plastic for me.
I currently have another 300lbs on the way and I only really need about 50lbs of it.
