Viktor, this is a nice surprise! It uses the same OpenCascade base as FreeCAD, and the two programs exchange STEP and IGES files. HeeksCAD has a better GUI than FreeCAD, and isn't reliant on parameters and modular workbenches. Modeling is faster and more intuitive, and HeeksCAD can loft and chamfer, features FreeCAD doesn't have, but a model can be imported into FreeCAD to take advantage of its better mesh creation and editing. Toolpathing is a bonus. Thanks for the headsup!
