The correct term for a 3D artist?

I wonder if you experts could help me out we are trying to determine the best term for a 3D artist from the 2 below.

1. 3D Modeller
2. 3D Designer

Your input would be extremely useful, thanks in advanced.

I think all 3 terms have distinct meaning with overlapping skill sets.

I have been using 3D Modeller for 5 years and this tool is very good for me.

Depends what the term shall imply to offer ... just my 2 Cents of feeling

Modeller - gives shape and geometrical definition after spec - I would more or less define it as a service job as ist just modelling

Designer - creates specification ( more or less set by a (hand made) prototype) afterwards more administrative work regaring the resulting product and keeping it close to spec

Artist - both of them fading duties ..
