i whant to take a depthsmap out ouf a 3dgame to genarate Surface for game tiles.

so take something like [metadata.springfiles.com]
and put it on something like [www.thingiverse.com]
do anyone know openscad is able to read data like this? or is there may be a more mighty language?

I think the surface command of OpenSCAD could be what you are looking for:

I wrote a gimp plugin to export dat files that the surface command can utilize:
[www.thingiverse.com]

but that surface you linked to does not look like a useful depthmap (heightfiled) rendered output attached it looks more like a normal map or an edgemap.

thx! this is what i need.
and yes looks like the wrong part of map file. but i know there is a way to import a gray scale as maps for BA so should be possible to export. will update when found some time for this..

i took a java program i found for this. [www.thingiverse.com]
the gimpplugin is also working well, but openscad is go an shot himself instandly on this one. would be kind of intersting how fig the fiels are allowed to be.

for tool chain look [www.thingiverse.com]
