Print one piece in two goes?

I know a piece such as this block.stl couldn't be printed, but no single feature is the problem. Apart from alignment problems would there be anything stopping me from "cutting" the design up into two parts, printing part one, rotating it, and printing part two directly on top? Would the ABS bond or would I have to pre heat the top of part one to help that along?

EDIT: D'oh, wrong place. I'm sorry but I don't know how that is handled on here. Will the post get locked, moved or just ignored?

Hello,

No it's no problem. I printed a Bearing in two parts with a 6 day gap between the two. it bonded well (Still lots of warp as I didn't have a heated bed at the time) but it all worked fine.

You can simply edit the Gcode file to return from where you stopped.

Rich.
