Inkjet printing on PLA or ABS

Hey RepRap

I just had an idea hit me, and I wasn't sure if the 3D printing community had tried it yet. Could a inkjet printer cartridge be attached adjacent to the nozzle, then be used to dye the plastic as it flows out of the printer? This way a simple PLA printer with white plastic could be used to print full color objects.

It say that there are some particolar inkjet color that can be printed on plastic.

The second step was, to find something that is capable of printin this ink, and i've found this project based on Inkshield:
