A little test bed for stepper drivers using Uno

Hello.

Can someone point me in the right direction. . .

(I searched but nowt' obvious came up)

I've a spare Uno, a stepper motor and a big pot of stepper drivers - Some work some don't and some are in between.

I'd like to put together a little breadboard rig and some code, where I can plug in a stepper driver, drive the motor and tweak current settings and just generally test what I've got.

I don't need fancy moves, just some code to either take a pushbutton input for direction or run a little motion routine.

I'll dig about on the Arduino forums but if someone could guide me to a useful source of reference for this I'd be most grateful.

Maybe even buy you a pint or give you a shiny shilling.

Thanks

Alan

What type/kind of stepper drivers?

What control interface
--- step, direction, enable
--- PWM
--- I2C

The arduino IDE has built in stepper examples

Hi.

Yeah, I never searched very hard did I!?

'Stepper knob' in the examples.

Thanks for the pointer. That's just fine.
