Camera shoulder rig for DSLR

And an accessory holder for anything that attaches to a 1/4" bolt or a hotshoe.
(In my case, a Sennheiser MKE400 directional microphone for a hotshoe)

After being able to mount a Zoom H4n audio recorder to the rig via the "accessory holder".
I now created a holder for it's remote.
You can use all of the remote's functions with your left (or tight) hand without letting go of the rig.
You also have it's indicator LED in view to find our about audio levels being about to spike (yellow) or spiking (red).

It will.
Same size as both my GH-1.
Even the display-viewfinder fits.

I'm preparing to make a video on how to build it.
It will be finished well after easter. Have to go to
EasterHegg first.

What printer are you getting?

I added a geared follow focus to the collection of 15mm DSLR rig parts

It uses an industry standard 0.8 pitch and I tested it to be compatible with commercial gear.
(Use these lens gears on a commercial system or lenses with commercial lens gears in this follow focus.)

Marcus,

Great project. I am just getting into the RepRap thing ordered a kit to get me started but am more than happy to offer feedback on any of your design elements/bounce ideas off of as this is one of the projects I envisioned from the start.
In terms of all the nuts and bolts in the pic one of the things I wanted to try for myself is to create a c-clamp kind of thing using the thread kit off of thingiverse and set it so those would grab the bars etc rather than using metal bits. Not sure if it would grip enough however.

The follow focus addon would be good too. How have you found the shoulder mount so far?

Anyhow once I get my head around the design software this weekend I'll have a look at the files, great work looks spot on.

The shoulder mount works great, however it's quite large to transport.

Not with ABS.
It can probably be resolved with a hinge.

They have a pretty cool device you can mount a follow focus to at www.habbycam.com

It's pretty inexpensive for such high quality. I was definitely pleasantly surprised!

I could get 2 good cameras for that kind of money.

Hi. I'm currently trying to repair a Seagull Shoulder Rig and, as you seem to building your own, I think you might be able to help me with the piece which needs replacing.

The problem is that the plastic connection which joins and holds the extending arm in place snapped. I don't know a correct term for the piece, or anywhere to find it. If anyone could help me, I'd be grateful... I can be contacted at grikmeer [a.t.) gmail {dot] com

Hi, I'm trying to find a replacement part for a Seagull Shoulder Rig, and as you're building your own I think that you may be able to advise me.

The plastic fastening which locks the extending arm has snapped, necessitating a replacement, but I'm not sure what it's called or where to go about getting a replacement. Could you advise me?

I don't have models of replacement parts for the Seagull.
