eMAKER and RepRapLtd have joined forces to bring you the RepRapPro Huxley 3D printer in a new indiegogo campaign. Less than 80 units are available for delivery (worldwide) in time for Christmas.

The RepRapPro Huxley is an improved version of the eMAKER Huxley 3D printer, which has been sold to over 300 people throughout the world. The new machine comes with pre-assembled electronics, including integral support for a microSD memory card. The heatbed is made with a PCB heater for ease of assembly and reliability.

There is an active and helpful community on our forums, as well as full instructions on our eMAKERshop website.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions, either in this thread, or on our website www.reprappro.com

Thank you for looking,
Jean-Marc.

I heard you were using Melzi electronics on the RepRapPro printer. Is that true? If so, what is the cost to produce them?

Actually we are using the Melzi Ardentissimo, which has the same components as the Sanguinololu, only surface mount.

We do not have the exact costs back from our supplier for these, but it will be very competitive.

Sounds good. I mostly wondered because it seems that it fills the same basic niche as gen6. What differentiates it from gen6, will it be cheaper, or is it more the extra heaters and SD card?

It should be cheaper than Gen6.

It also has 3 Mosfet outputs, to control 2 heaters and a fan, as well as built in microSD card support, and with all of the spare Atmega644 IO pins broken out.

Loving the look of this new Huxley, plus those electronics look amazing! In the future will you be selling the electronics for those that build the machines themselves?
