I´m trying to get people to design more usefull tools.
ESPECIALLY people who are still planning or building or
calibrating their 3d-printer.

Feel free to contact me with price-offers and challenges of your own.
I´ll try to bundle them on the wiki page.

Challenge1: "XY table" made easier
February 14, 2010 05:25AM
The challenge for the design of an XY-table with 10 mendel parts for the winner
is still going.
But I made it easier by posting the basic frame for such a table on thingiverse:

The tasks left to be done are outlined in the description.

Marcus, would you like to start uploading and mirroring onto the wiki?

-Sebastien, RepRap.org library gnome.

Remember, you're all RepRap developers (once you've joined the super-secret developer mailing list), and the wiki, RepRap.org, [reprap.org] is for everyone and everything! grinning smiley

Why would I do so and what of the dozens of wikis around
RepRap, RepMan, Thingiverse, Makerbot,... are you talking about?
Using a RepMan and having my primary focus on the BfB-forum
I´m using the BfB-Wiki. Should I move away from there I would
use my personal wiki instead.

What reason could I possibly have to use another one?

I was suggesting

I was suggesting the RepRap wiki aka the Library,
where you could share it as a courtesy and a gift
to your fellow RepRap users. If you are too busy
with personal projects, or the thought annoys you,
I apologize.

If your work at a stage where you'd be happy to put up
on the RepRap wiki, you are welcome to do so.

Updated "Dremel Holder"-page on objects.reprap.org
February 16, 2010 01:21AM
I updated
http://objects.reprap.org/wiki/Dremel_Holder
to the current state regarding the Dremel Holder.

The other constests are still going on at http://www.bitsfrombytes.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:MarcusWolschon/Challenges and are not specific to the RepRap.

(PS: with "[X]Email me about replies to this topic" I only got informed about your first reply. I found your second one only by chance.
This is still one of the worst forum-systems I´ve ever seen.)
(PPS: ****. This was a reply to SebastienBailard, yet it apears as a new top-level entry in the tree. )

Thank you.

The other contests are still going on at [www.bitsfrombytes.com] and are not specific to the RepRap.

They do look interesting, and are definitely suitable to be hosted on the RepRap wiki.

Well,

if a number of other people start offering such contests I´ll
gladly move to whereever they are posting theirs.

Marcus
