This is gonna be a lengthy post, I hope its worth it.

I am one of the original backers of this project, and I finally got tired by the way this "Lei Wang" is handling the situation. Many of us feel we are being scammed, and since he is saying this I really want to warn others not to order anything with him anymore. We are not feeling backers, but rather feel light in our pockets.

I already sold my project(documentation/detail plans) to one asian and two european companies. I will not continue my career on personal 3D printers, but my email is always open to you, email me anytime when you have problem. You can chat in DLP printers forum in Reprap forum. I cannot access FB or Google+ in China, it is not legal here, sorry for that. Sincerely! Mr. Lei

This was the last message 12 days ago, now we havent heard anything on the indiegogo project yet...

Dear All, Hi ! As I said last week, I am so busy these days. I apologize for the delay of the news update, but please give me more time to deal with the suppliers and the registration department. I am trying to give you a DIY kit with legal and technical support, even oversea. Thank you !

3 months ago we got this message:

Hi Everyone, I am vinz, I am Lei’s partner, It is my turn to say Sorry to you smiling smiley He just got married and went to south China for his honey moon with his wife. I am busy in designing new case for Nautilus, and I just updated the Gallery, you can see our Eiffel and Lei. Have a good one ~

Couple of weeks later we received this:

Dear All, I am Lei’s partner, He is on his way back for resolving a tiny problem, because we haven’t receive any funds yet from Indiegogo due to unforeseen problem. We applied the domain name and host for our website, but designers are not working on schedule, I am sorry for that. I will update more news these days if any problem is solved. Great thanks!
By the way, we have improved our machine, so there will be a higher price when the website is online, but all our 12 backers will get the packages as we promised without paying more money.

Hi All, I am still waiting the responses from Indiegogo. I only receive two backers’ funds through Paypal, but the other ten backers’ funds should go into my bank account, but there is nothing there. I collect the suppliers’ info and they start sending their products to me in two weeks. You do not need to worry, if the web refunds you due to any bank account issues, you can still get your kits and pay to my paypal or my partner’s US BOA account.

This is because people starting complaining to indiegogo and paypal found it rather sketchy. I wished I listened to them...

I am Lei. First of all, I am serious, please do not blame me for possibility of spending money on the wedding. I respect you, so please respect me. I am not English speaking and my friend Vinz is helping check my mail-box, he is so busy with his own stuff, so I cannot ask him to read and write English for me very often. I apologize for not updating so often due to my language ability. Furthermore, this is not a pre-sale website, you trust me, so you invite you money in my team.
I take all responsibilities for my contributors. I am crasy with my suppliers, I am receiving machine parts, and I plan to ship them in the end of this month, I would like to mention:the estimated delivary date is on Sep, not August. I am not a man who likes to show something to much, I like working and preparing beautiful works for my backers. No news is good news, please do not rush, do not worry. BTW, Nil and Kon, you can ask for a refund when you do not want it anymore smiling smiley
I spent all time and money on developping this machine, but not with my wife. I am working, maybe no news for another one or two weeks, sorry.

This was one month later, around the 1st of september:

Hi, Dear, All, I finally finished all the process, the last parts will arrive on Sep 10th, and I will ship your packages immediately when I receive them. I will show you parts that I received already. I was busy, I was crazy, and I am sorry. Things don’t go as I thought, lots of problems with suppliers and furthermore two backers sent me lots of emails to make me crazy. I have nothing to explain, I will give you what you should get and please send me your address to me: nautiluswang@gmail.com
GREAT THANKS AND MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. It is hard for me to update news frequetly and my english-speaking friend is working for his big Canadian friend, I did not have so much resources when I started this project. Now, I am working with my friend’s project for a new industrial DLP 3D printer. I want to show honesty and trust among us, even around the world.

Which got responded by a rather annoyed backer:

That’s great news Lei. A lot of us, including myself, will owe you an apology if deliver as promised. I’ll get my address of to you soon. We were all getting frustrated with the lack of meaningful updates, but this is what we have been waiting. If you make good in delivery i am sure that mant of us may be interested in the new project and would like to here more. Thanks for the update.

I traveled thousand miles for the custom pass of the materials. I did not even receive the full funds from paypal, but you guys were really angry with me, I have nothing more to say. First, thank you Phon for your comprehension! Second, I will ship out the machine this week, sorry for the delay. Third, the liquid resin is not possible to ship now, local custom requires legal documents, you can try other brands’ resin first with Nautilus.
The three MR.s who are angrying with me, you can choose a refund if you like, but I will refund after I receive the full funds from Paypal. BTW, why you are so rush and with fear? Gentalmen do not act like this, they dare to invest in nothing, but not murmuring all the time.

A day later, we received this message (which I found to be a god's blessing)

Thank you all! All the backers, please send me your address. Time to ship.

12 days ago, the slap on the face came up: The packages would never arrive.

Hi, guys, sorry, your packages were on their way to the exportation agency, but then I received two more emails saying they have backed the project too, so there was 14 people backing 12 packages. I called back all the packages and please send me the paypal account name you’ve used on this project and your indiegogo account to me to nautiluswang@gmail.com This is a serious confirmation. I only send to those have contributed to this project.
Hi, all, I am still working on completing/finishing this project. BTW, I already sold my project(documentation/detail plans) to one asian and two european companies. I will not continue my career on personal 3D printers, but my email is always open to you, email me anytime when you have problem. You can chat in DLP printers forum in Reprap forum. I cannot access FB or Google+ in China, it is not legal here, sorry for that. Sincerely! Mr. Lei

And then he went silent...

If Lei or the other guy who is working on this project were working on it, please do give us information. Plans, designs, something? At this moment the project looks like an utter big scam to me, I only hope that others will read this and rethink twice before backing a project. Delays are to be expected, but all the projects I backed have sent me e-mails, weekly digests of what they are doing, they are online on a daily basis to send out messages, one even gave me half-working software so I could already tinker with it and see what the final project was going to look like.

I would people advice NOT to invest in Lei Wang or his "Nautilus". I know this is going to be a name and shame, however with the fact that there are so many angry backers right now I would have this matter resolved as quickly as possible before someone buys a flight ticket to china.
