Aren't those a bit low res and low torque for a Reprap?

From the specs page, they have a Holding Torque of around 6 N-cm (612 g-cm or 8.5 oz-in).

From the Stepper Motors page on the wiki, motors for Mendel need a Holding Torque of around 13.7 N-cm (1400 g-cm or 19.4 oz-in) to be safe (based on the motors used in the Mendel prototype).

Also, they only do 3.6 Degree steps, not 1.8 like most steppers used for RepRaps, which means they'd need gearing down to get the right precision.

Note: Seems way overpriced too. In the US, it is possible to get working stepper motors that deliver greater step precision and more Holding Torque for around $10 USD each, plus shipping.

So... $50 a peice for steppers that have to be geared when you can get NEMA 17 from Altronics for $15, that don't have to be geared, and have a higher torque? I don't get it, what's better about these?
