Announcing The Brand New Series

Reprap Austria is proud to announce the brand new printer series xBot.

Providing high quality 3D-printing-systems for the masses, with fully assembled machines.

Easy to use - for everyone!

Featherlight where needed...

By reducing the overall weight of all moving parts, the system gains precise positioning at high printing speeds. For example: the typical 180 degrees printhead movements at solid infill layers are mastered without vibrations at high acceleration settings.

The result is smooth movement and minimized movement artifacts in complex geometry prints.

The strong 2,5 A Nema 17 Motors run far from their limits.

Heavy-Duty where needed...

The ultra-heavy-duty aluminium mainframe, made from 3 mm lasered aluminium sheets (2,5 kg of aluminium xBot 150 and 3,5 kg xBot 320) withstands mechanical peak loads with ease.

A rigid and torsion resistant frame is an essential requirement for high precision positioning.

X, Y... then there is Z left...

When it comes to quality at high layer-resolutions the printing bed design is crucial.

Your prints will find a rock solid place to start with the new xBot series. Keeping it lightweight, but still stiff and rigid led to the new dual-layer-design.

Guided by high quality flanged linear ball bearings the dual layer bed design provides consistent Z-layers, leaving Z-artifacts no chance.

Overall 6 mm of machine-grade-aluminium gives the new bed its strength and a convenient 3-point leveling with knurled-head screws ensures fast and easy bed leveling.

High precision Bowden Extruder Setup

We started from the scratch.

The formula: reduction of unguided filament sections to a minimum.

An additional benefit of short unguided filament approach is an autoloader capability of the extrusion mechanics.

Fast filament changes without tinkering!

But precise hotends need a powerful filament drive.

The heart piece is a 1:5 geared NEMA 17 motor. The planetary gear provides high torque and extreme precision of about 2 µm at the hobbed bolt. To transfer those huge amounts of torque the new xBot series is equipped with a very sharp cut brass hobbed bolt.
