News from arcol.hu webshop

Dear Community,

I would like to announce in this thread all news about arcol.hu (webshop).

Ok, here is what I have currently:
- Wade's machined bolts v1.3: 5EUR
- Extruder hot-end kit (pretty similar to what Rapman has): 30EUR.
- 100k thermistor: 2EUR
- Laser-cutted "squashed frog" for Mendel: 5EUR

Non-Mendel related:
Heated bed kit for Rapman: 166EUR
Machined PTFE tube for the hot-end: 5EUR

Upcoming stuffs (still in beta testing;-)
Heated bed kit shield for arduino. ( I just home-etched the first prototype.
Still need a bit modifying, and etching one more time. Here is a detailed
article about how it is supposed to work:

- also preprogrammed arduino.

The machined bolts is in v1.2 already, because the manufacturing improved.
Now it will be perfectly centered. (I will posts photos tuesday).

Manufacturing the v1.1:
It was manufactured using a CNC machine, and pretty much with the same method,
what is on the wiki. Although even with a CNC there was too much play between
bearings and the bolt. So it is not perfectly centered, ie. has not the same groove
overall.
It is still much better, then doing it by hand.

Manufacturing the v1.2:
It was done on a lathe, and we tried to eliminate all the previously announced flaws.
(not centered, has not the same grip).

Shipping:
Inside EU:
<100g (ex: machined bolt): 5EUR
<500g (ex: hot-end kit): 8EUR
<3kg: 16EUR
<12kg (ex: heated bed kit): 25EUR

((I have not sold squashed frog yet. So I dont know the exact price of it, although it is <100g, but it has a bigger size.
Once somebody ordered from me one, I will update it here))


Worldwide:
Only possible <2000g. Above that incredibly high shipping costs, and unavoidable custom fees.
Price:
0-250g (one machined wade's bolt for example): 6EUR
251-500g: 7EUR

Paying:
Wire transfer or paypal. Contact me in private email at
order [at] arcol [dot) hu.
If you pay via paypal please add 1EUR to cover the half of the paypal fee.

Future products, plans:
- Improved extruder driving (I assembled many variations, Wade's one, Adrian's version,
I have rapman's threaded rod drive), I have a better idea, needs to test it.;-)
- Improved hot-end kit. Although Rapman's hot end kit works fine, I still believe can
be improved. I already drew already my idea, needs to manufacture it in a CNC shop.

Good luck with your venture.

I would just like to comment on your paying options. Personally I would be very wary of paying an unknown start-up by wire transfer. I would feel much more comfortable using something like paypal.

It is easy to set up a paypal account and it does give the buyer a little protection so if you are genuine then I would recommend you look at that option.

Yes I need definietly work on it, just as I need to work on the website.
I think the website is more important, so I will focus on the web interface first.

The hot-end will be available on ebay once its mass-produced. Possibly at higher price.

Are you still selling that Heated bed kit for Rapman?
I have too many projects on my hands and would settle for a kit instead of building my own
as long as it's switched on and off by the Extruder#3 heater-wire, so the temperature can be
given via g-code.
