I am very interested in the project and would like to ask you if you would like me to make a website for you - for free. I do not wish to make any profit out of this offer, I just want to help this project along, I can see this project going big, very big.
Post back if you are interested or,

Is this still an ongoing project? The website shows some very interesting photographs - the MDF case makes it look very Thing-O-matic like which is a good thing in my view. Very interested in purchasing a unit like this provided it does what it says on the can of course!

Richard / progomez - can you update this thread one way or another?

Thank you,

Alan

I think Richard may be a bit busy at the moment, but until he replies:

[sumpod.com]
[ideasfixer.blogspot.com]

there is also a twitter feed and a couple of facebook pages. The guys on the sumpod forum should be able to give you the latest info.

There are perhaps 5 or 6 shipped since the 1st of August '11 and some 60+ ordered so you either need to be very patient or consider another option such as [www.solidoodle.com] - they are nearing their first batch of 20 for orders and the delivery is 5-6 weeks. Maybe my SUMPOD numbers are wrong so I'd be glad for Richard to fix that wtih a more detailed and current update.
Hello, I am a railway modeller living in Carluke, Lanarkshire, looking for someone who would like to earn a few bob making some small parts for me. I model mainly in N gauge i.e.1:148 with occasional forays into OO [1:78]
I have access to AutoCad Inventor 10 [2006], if that's of any help.
Cheers, Robert.

R. McShane, you probably want to open your own topic in the appropriate section : [forums.reprap.org]
Did anything come of this venture? Seems to have gone very quiet?

Two or three batches have been shipped to my knowledge - had mine a long time now. Been extremely pleased with it. Richard is still selling the, what is now, basic model. He's also got a new aluminium model that's more expensive but ready to use rather than being a kit. www.sumpod.com

A little warning for those considering buying sumpod from a former customer. Apparently I just got banned from the forum for just posting a technical question to get my pod working after a year putting it on hold. I just ask about motor issue that I am having and did not include any negativity about richard or sumpod and that was enough to get the ban hammer. Many people got ban in similar fashion so gl if you have any problem.
You can get the makibot, the cheaper version costs $200. You can find it here.
