I don't think it's still qualified as "export" as it stays inside EU. Or maybe because you don't use euros (yet) there ?

Had a few issues with DHL/fedex etc banging a charge on for UK vat 20% and then a £25 handling charge for items!

Think we will stay out the euro for while, though I wish we were in as I spend a month or so each year in mainland Europe.

Still ordered, invoiced and paid for plus some filament so I'm getting close to having all the bits, probably about 95% sorted, just choice of heated bed (PCB or Aluminium with resistors) Kapton tape ordered from Hong Kong (50mm/50m for £7 delivered) and sort hot end...

However not on topic so I'll just say get ordering thus far a pleasure to deal with!

I already answered to you by mail, but if others have the same question regarding VAT, here is the answer again:
- you will have to pay dutch VAT if you are located in a country within the EU, unless you are a company and have a valid EU tax number. You shouldn't have to pay VAT in the UK if you buy from within the EU.
- Outside the EU you don't have to pay dutch VAT, you will have to pay VAT depending on your country
