Problems with ver 3 extruder

Don't know what happened but I can no longer upload firmware tothe IO board with my gen 3 extruder board. was working fine. Have checked out all the usual issues but continue to get an error on upload. Have an old board (with other issues) and can upload firmware to that fine. Any ideas ??

umm just an idea but maybe not enough space for the new firmware? do u get any error message?

The error I get is the standard...
Binary sketch size: 6380 bytes (of a 14336 byte maximum)
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

Would like to get this old board running if possible.

well you probably know more about what your doing than i do. here is what i have came up with after doing some googling

try holding the reset button for about 10 seconds and uploading the firmware while still holding it.

or it could be the COM port and you would have to change it

also some one else was getting this while trying to upload their firmware and someone suggested repsnapper and that worked

or your chip could just be dead and you need a new one.


also what chip are you using so i can look into this further if not resolved.
