Running stock Marlin standard firmware on a FLSun Delta KL. I ran through the procedure and it generated the following output. Question is .. what exactly do I do with those M codes? Can I put those into Marlin somehow or do they need to be in the startup gcode? It gave me New endstop corrections, Delta radius and tower position angle corrections. Where are the endstop correction values in Marlin firmware? I am running through the escher3d.com calculator.by jamesmoe - Delta Machines
I noted a while ago you posted a version of Repetier firmware configured for the FLSun. Did you have a more recent revision? Thank you.by jamesmoe - Delta Machines
I have gone through the guide. Done all the procedures. Started with an almost perfectly level bed. Even did G29 procedure. I am obviously missing something. Prints in the center come out fantastic, but the nozzle is hitting the bed on the perimeter (see attached photo). It is almost as if the bed is concave .. but I put glass on top of the aluminum plate to ensure a perfectly flat surface. Whaby jamesmoe - Delta Machines
So the calibration procedure up to this point will store level bed data? If followed to this point the G29 should not be needed? Even if the bed is not completely level to begin with?by jamesmoe - Delta Machines
Update. I loaded the Marlin-AC firmware and followed the enclosed PDF instructions. All went well. My last point of confusion is at the end of the document and it talks of Bed Leveling. The G29 code. It states it does not store in EEPROM. How do you use this in practice? Do I place a M320 then G29 Px Bx in the slicer starting code? Do I manually execute the M320 G29 prior to starting a series orby jamesmoe - Delta Machines
What is the difference in the Marlin-AC and Marlin-lvd ino files?by jamesmoe - Delta Machines
SORRY! I actually opened the attached firmware and read through the doc ... I am going to work through it and see if it gets me where I need to be. This delta thing seems pretty far from "auto leveling" hahahahby jamesmoe - Delta Machines
I looked at the topic referenced. It references Marlin-AC firmware; however, does not address my question on exactly how to use the M29 auto bed leveling and get that to actually translate into a print. As stated when I try the M29 I get 9 point leveling and the hot end centers and parks about 4mm above the service. When I start printing it just starts at that point in mid air. I am fairly experienced at 3d printers, but new to deltas. I just completed a build of a FlSun Kossel XL and printed a calibration cube after basic manual build plate leveling. While I have the plate fairly level, there is no way I can print a large item without a lot of time or getting auto leveling working. I have read a LOT about it, but can not find a concise guide of exactly how to get thby jamesmoe - Delta Machines
When I first printed the foldarap there was no Z endstop adjustment bolt. I reprinted my Z sliders due to some play causing z wobble and want to make use of the z adjustment. How exactly does the adjustment bolt go together? I see no captive nut trap or anything else to hold the nut so the bolt can adjust up and down. Thanks. - jimby jamesmoe - FoldaRap
I just completed my foldarap and seem to have a lot of z wobble .. anyone else experience this?by jamesmoe - FoldaRap
So last of this .. use one of your tables .. crank up the heat and put the measured temps in the script? Correct?by jamesmoe - Mendel90
Sorry being so dense .. I do not have the table that corresponds to this thermistor. All I have is 100K with a Beta of 3950 .. how do I build a table for that? Because I can't measure resistance as the thermistor is used, I can't take data points when the hot end is at a stable temp.by jamesmoe - Mendel90
Which table is your table? I hate temperature!!! So confusingby jamesmoe - Mendel90
So here is what I did .. Took a real T0 .. room t0=20 and r0=120700 For the t1 in the script the resistance was 94 and t2 was 256 with resistance 42 When I set the host to 209 .. the real temperature via a thermocouple was 178.3, and at 256 .. it was 218.5 So .. I put t1=178.3 and t2=218.5 leaving the resistance alone and generated the script ... Is that the idea?? Thanks!by jamesmoe - Mendel90
Which script specifically has the inferred ADC value calculations?by jamesmoe - Mendel90
How do I measure the thermistor resistance when it is also connected to the controller board? I tried to measure on the screw terminals of the connector on the board (it is a Melzi board .. all the connectors are screw connectors which are very nice), and that does not work.by jamesmoe - Mendel90
Do the scripts mentioned in your blog post a couple years ago produce tables as are reflected in the current Marlin tables .. the look a bit different.by jamesmoe - Mendel90
I am fighting a multi-material print. I need to change filament at 30mm print height. I have tried M226 in the gcode, I have also tried to simply insert the word pause in the line gcode. I am using Printrun / Pronterface and typing pause in the console causes a pause .. but it does not seem to work if in the gcode. Without watching the print, which I really don't want to do, how do I insert a pby jamesmoe - General

What electronics and software tool-chain did you use?by jamesmoe - Laser Cutter Working Group
Let's focus on what most people want. Building stuff. I think it is much more productive to leave a no-win philosophical debate about global manufacturing and concentrate on what works. It was asked and ignored thus far .. among the less-expensive suppliers (I find "cheap" antagonistic) .. what suppliers on ebay, aliexpress, dx, banggood .. whatever .. provide reasonable quality components to leby jamesmoe - General
I am approaching completion of a FoldaRap build. How do I get a FoldaRap number?by jamesmoe - FoldaRap
What kind of connector is the white connector on the RAMPS-FD board??by jamesmoe - RAMPS Electronics
Are there plans, timeline, for Issue 3? I very much enjoy the magazine.by jamesmoe - RepRap magazine
I am printing with two different materials in the same print. Is there an easy way to pause the print at a certain height so I can change filament, then have the print continue?? Thanks. I have searched around and cannot find a clear answer.by jamesmoe - Slic3r
I am wondering why some of the printers are going to a 5mm Z screw instead of the popular 8mm? Thoughts?by jamesmoe - Mendel90
So due to the OpenSCAD bug I had to slice the x-ends in Cura 13.11 .. I calibrated appropriately and printed. The nut trap in the for the brass nut came out great .. but several layers in the middle were separated and with a some force the pieces broke in half. I know this should go in print problems, but think someone here will give me a more expedient answer since it is a Mendel90 part. Pleaseby jamesmoe - Mendel90
