Checking if you have absolute/relative extruder units option matched in firmware and slicer may be worth a try. AFAIK Marlin defaults to absolute - try to issue M83 command before you start the print.by miso - General
QuoteDaveX it seems like it doesn't break anything and the downside would be only 8 bytes more flash. Plus 2 bytes of RAM, but it doesn't seem like the memory was an issue when the parser was designed, because that "union of all parameters" struct approach is inherently memory hungry: uint8_t G; ///< G command number uint8_tby miso - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Thanks, I had just used values from here. So from that github discussion it seems that those values are supposed to be scaled down by factors 4, 16, 8 to work with teacup. I know that I'm supposed to use my own values, but those, after scaled down, work much better than defaults for me. I like the lack of teacup dependency on arduino, but sadly, that discussion convinced me, that its eventuallyby miso - Firmware - mainstream and related support
int16_t S member is being assigned with return value from "int32_t decfloat_to_int(decfloat *df, uint16_t multiplicand)" and used to pass that value into pid_set_*(heater_t, int32_t) functions. This becomes problem especially with M132 command which multiplies passed S value (~100) with PID_SCALE (1024).by miso - Firmware - mainstream and related support

Hi, what is recommended pad_connector_height value in x-end.scad for PLA parts? I left it at default 3.3, but x-end partially delaminated as I forced smooth rod in. Will pad_connector_height=1 work? If there are other variables that should be changed, please elaborate on those as well. Thanks. Thanks greenman100, fortunately I can have access to solidworks (2011 I think) from time to time, I was just hoping for free solution that I can have more at hand. @BobCAD: Unless there is some trial license, that I have missed, in addition to out of the box demo mode, it won't save to anything else except native BobCAD format. @Fusion360: I haven't tried it yet because it requires either MacOSby miso - General
Hi, what is the simplest way to convert solidworks SLDPRT/SLDASM files to stl/amf, or something that can be imported into FreeCAD (igs) or other free tools? I have seen couple of guides, but they all involved solidworks software. Does that mean that there are no free tools and I need access to solidworks software to do that? Thanks.by miso - General

Do you read " /dev/ttyACM0" for OK/ok after sending each line of g-code? As far as I understand, its used as simple flow control. You may want to check sender.sh for reference.by miso - General
Quoteunicornswag 5. File Browser: Paths to g-code files currently have to be entered manually. A Midnight Commander-style file browser for loading G-Code files is the biggest advantage I see to adding a more graphical interface. That can be simply handled by using midnight commander for navigation and adding appropriate record into mc.ext.by miso - General
I think that OP proposed solution is technically not feasible, problem is many-fold. For example with basic Wi-Fi you have 4 non overlapping channels @54Mbps, that's not enough to provide internet access for multiple apartment building by current standards. Then there are connection reliability issues, routing issues, media access control issues caused by constantly changing and not optimal topolby miso - General

Connecting load between +24V and +12V depends on ability of +12V branch to sink current. Now imagine simple PSU construction with transformer, diode rectifier and filtration capacitor. Diode rectifier on +12V branch will not allow to sink current, because it'll be polarized in reverse. This will result in charging filtration capacitor of +12V branch to 24V, that's possibly over its rated voltageby miso - General

Protective wiring isn't there for normal operation but for failure protection.
