I was wondering if it would be possible to design a extruder based on this concept: Any ideas, pointers what could be the way to go with this? The idea is to make a plastic bottle extruder. Any suggestions are welcome.by rapcraft - General

Cool, I like that this topic showed up on RepRap forums! I'm working on a opensource VAWT project. Just wanted to share where I at, and maybe get some feedback? This is a lenz2 type VAWT. It was printed in PLA. I haven't tested it in strong winds yet. I have been working on a couple of weeks developing this project based on Its a derivative from design so it can be placed pretty much anywhereby rapcraft - General
Hey SanJay, I like your implementation the automated print remove system. The only issue I have is with the print bed cooling / heating up time. Seems like a pain. Have you thought about using something like this guy used: (near the end of the video). He uses one of thoose air spray anti dust cans that basically cool off the printed items even on bluetape so I think it would work on a heatd glaby rapcraft - General
I was wondering if anyone tried / researched the idea of 3d printing useing a welding machine with a wire feed. Basically, is it possible to fit a end tip to a RepRap and try printing layers of welded aluminium? Can it be stacked on layers? Will it be able to produce anything usuable out of metal? I'm thinking about to try this, but have no clue or experience with welding. Any opinions are welby rapcraft - General
I wanted to share this video I recently did on 3D printing a key: Inspired by 3D printing a car key: For what I can tell, the more complicated the key (shape ect.) 3D printing them is easier then I expected. Do you think lock companies should rethink the way keys are designed? 3D printing proof designed?by rapcraft - General
