They are calculated and they have worked for the last 3 years 40, 40, 3333.92. I have changed currents, not change in stretching. See my comment before about what I just found out about the Z, this is not a typical issue, otherwise I would of found it.by WallyCloud - General
Update: Now when I am watching it, the Z moves to go up a level a fair amount, starts printing that level. Then half way through it moves, ever so slightly down. The stepper does it. Almost to think I won't notice... I think it hates me. What could cause this? Anyone know?by WallyCloud - General
Dear people, I am in a dire situation. I really need to print in the next few days and my original mendel is giving me hell. After the Gen6 board smoked up, don't ask, I switcehd it out for a RAMPS board. That wasn't long ago but it has been working. Recently I have noticed most of my prints were stretched badly in the Z direction. More recently it started to happen in the Y direction. Ovaby WallyCloud - General
Hey guys, I've recently finished adding bed and fan support to my Gen 6. I just updated the Gen 6 wiki page with details on how to get to the pins. You can see my solution below. If theres interest I would post schematiccs. Cheersby WallyCloud - Controllers
I recently hooked up an Antec Basiq 350W (23A on 12v rails). Drops from 12.1V to 11.5V when turning on the ~12A heated bed (nothing else running), hopefully should be alright for gen 6.by WallyCloud - General
If you look at his flickr stream you will see that he posted a picture of a heap of nozzles and a "batch #0 letter" as of last month.by WallyCloud - General
@Ohmarinus Nah the springs are pushing, you just slot them in there when its apart. I don't have a 1.75mm hotend or filament so I haven't tried, I figure they use a smaller groove and tap for 1.75 but I don't know. @jamesdanielv Ha, never found that when I was looking for people who had done this, interesting. Hey guys, I hobbed a steppers shaft and have been using it for a while now to direct drive 3mm. It works great and is excellent in simplicity. I thought I would write it up so that people can see that it can be done. The much smaller filament drive radius you can achieve gives the stepper way more torque so that driving 3mm is easy with a 43Ncm stepper. I also found it easier then making a hby WallyCloud - General
Hey, I had this problem on my Mendel. I stacked another bearing on top of the originals, giving the belt more room to move around before hitting the fender washer. Wallyby WallyCloud - Look what I made!
Hey, I was wondering what deflection program that is on "Accuracy: Deflection on X & Y axis" March 1, looks nice. Thanks Wallyby WallyCloud - General
Hey guys, I'm in Brisbane. I've got an original Mendel, which I've had for a while. But I only recently got the time to start really getting it moving. So yeah its still early stages but I'm printing pretty nice parts. I don't know much about the RAMPS electronics though as I used a Gen 6 board which is all plug and play. I'd like to help out.
