Torrents are good but I would like it better if it was based on an RCS such as git, mercurial, or bazaar. I like the approach of Cubehero, but the site should be under community control. There should be a site for browsing physibles, not only torrents or RCS branches. I would be happy to contribute some bandwidth, storage, and CPU from my own web server, but it would not scale, of course. Do anyby moli - General
Several new "3D Model Upload Sites" have popped up in the tail of the recent Thingiverse ToS controversy. Most of those that I have found seem to promise to not do what Thingiverse did. To be certain that this does not happen, however, I am looking for a community driven site, not just a site with community owned content. Does anyone know of such a site? Hi all, I too second the thoughts that 1) Of course should MBI, as anyone else, be allowed to print and sell my GPL'ed or CC'ed parts ... that is (one of) the point(s) that I use those licenses. 2) Of course should MBI not grab a GPL/CC'ed design and close source it into their machines.
