hi all. I recently purchased a K extruder reprap.org/wiki/K_Extruder I tried to replace my wades with it, but the bushings on the wade did not fit into the k extruder. I need proper bushings for my k extruder, can someone sell me some or atleast give information on them ? fahraynk@gmail.comby fahraynk - Plastic RepRap Parts for Sale

Hi all ... I really need some help before i abandon this electronics setup... It would mean I would have to buy my 3rd setup ! (first was sanguinololu which fried) ... I really cant afford anymore, so please help ! I bought a printrboard rev D preloaded with marlin firmware and it worked and was moving motors. I tried to calibrate it so I set the motor steps and then uploaded marlin firmware.by fahraynk - Controllers
having a really really hard time figuring out how to calibrate a printrboard running marlin on mac. I recently became aware of a methond using ponterface//Gcode : •connect with Pronterface •type M501 in the lower right corner and hit SEND. It will output a block of information. •recalculate your M92 settings per that guide. •save all your M92 settings with an M500 command Im having a problemby fahraynk - General
Im having this issue... So my question is this : How do I make arduino v22 support printerboard on mac? I doubt there will be a printerboard option under boards when I download it...by fahraynk - General Mendel Topics
Hi I finally got my reprap up, z axis shakes back and forth like crazy... I put a rubber band, but it didnt help :-/ Oh... I have 1 motor facing one way, and the other facing the other way. Prusa iteration 1 with iteration 2 couplers. What should I do? I heard something about decreasing the speed the motors go ? I dont see why it should matter that the motors are facing opposite directions asby fahraynk - General
wasnt testing with the usb actually plugged in Thanks so much for your response ! what do you mean vias? If I run a cable to the regulator VIN pin, and disconnect the pin from its track... that might help right? and if that fixes it I could create a new track. Same for the ground if its really broken. hmm. I would try this... but thats the thing, in my original post question number 1, it sby fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)
I took out the 7805 - > ic1 because i thought i might have fried it. The board powers on when there is usb but not when there is only 12 volts from screw terminals. I then plugged in the board and did some tests... 1) from the 5v out pin and the ground pin im getting 0.5V (by pin, i mean pin slot, as in where the 7805 would actually go into the board, im just going to call it pin.) power supply died :-( Will return.. ugh in probably 2 weeks when I get a new one shipped. Thanks everyone for help.by fahraynk - General
Alot of research... And I figured an idea to check if problem is pololus or sanguino output. I study'd the pololu datasheet and saw enable, step, reset, dir, sleep pins, as well as ms1, ms2, ms3. I also think "enable" has to be low and reset should be low. anyone know what ms1, ms2, ms3 are supposed to be ? Are the pololus on full, half, quarter, eigth or 16th step? Also what should directionby fahraynk - General
James, does this help ? I went to the URL but it didint quite work... m115 ok FIRMWARE_NAMEprinter FIRMWARE_URL:http%%3A/github.com/kliment/Sprinter/ PROTOCOL_VERSION:1.0 MACHINE_TYPE:Mendel EXTRUDER_COUNT:1 UUID:00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 Edit : for some reason it shows a smily face and the word printer instead of this : Sprinter Ok.... actually I have been struggling with this probby fahraynk - General
james : ok I will test with endstops tomorrow after work... Not sure about the schematics but It was advertised to be a sanguinololu was hoping it would be the same. ohioplastics : This problem... I tested using a motor and tried it on the x axis and the extruder pololus same issue. so either both of them are bad or everyone. I doubt they'd all be bad, right ? viktor : You want me to power theby fahraynk - General
anyone know how I can test the pins if I desolder the pololus ? If I desolder them and then send code to have them move, what should the pins output and how can I test that its working ?by fahraynk - General
In your image, the pololus look a bit opposite of mine... but my board is a bit different then yours. I bought mine in some sanguino kit. They sent me a pic of how they said its supposed to be and I copyed it... here is mine : and here is the one they told me it should look like when I was done adding the pololu's : thanks again for your help. So Based on their picture id say it was right..by fahraynk - General
Eh it just says OK when i enter those commands on cool Term. Im using a ATX power supply 400 watts which I converted to give a 12 volt dc output by following some guide online. I HOPE I have pololus installed correctly... the current pot is facing the board not the motor pins... closer to the side with the usb input... Thanks for your helpby fahraynk - General
hi, im pretty newb. Ive been trying to connect a motor to sanguino to make it move as a test, but I cant get it to work. I know I have the correct serial port because if I type the Gcode M115 it returns the firmware sprinter and version ect. But when I try to connect the motor to any of the motor connections it never moves it. Also when I unplug it from computer the board stays on so I know theby fahraynk - General
Hi. my board is supposed to have firmware sprinter set up on it already. Ive been trying to make it run. I downloaded 2 zip folders one for printrun and one for ponterface for mac. Im having trouble understanding what to do next, it saying I have to call these files in python or something ? Im not really sure how to do that... Can anyone please explain how to proceed for a newb or point me in theby fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)
Does anyone know where I can find tips for the installation of wades extruder ? like, tips on how to keep the wire slack from getting in the way of the print, ect. (not how to build wades, but how to install it nicely) Im having tough time finding any info/tips on the actual instal of wades...by fahraynk - Reprappers

Ive been googling "kk100 series molex" but having trouble finding some. Know where I can buy these ? even searching on molex.com for kk100 shows no results.by fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)
do you know what the name of the housings im supposed to get are called ? ...or better where I can go to learn about all the different types/sizes of housings so that I never have to ask anyone this question again ?by fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)
Im trying to install a wades extruder.. but the gear seems to be touching the x carriage. What am I missing ? I could put a couple washers... but it kind of also touches the brackets that hold the timing belt down. if I turn the wade the other way, then the motor kind of hits the timing belt.by fahraynk - Reprappers
thermal break on a j-head, that would be the part where it extrudes I guess ? Why does disturbing the air make a better print ? I guess 1 fan that hits both would be fine ? Also... im confused, because if you want to cool the pla with a fan, then why would you use a heated bed ? Yeah... confuse.by fahraynk - Reprappers
Hi. How serious does the pla fan need to be ? Will a small 5v pc fan be enough, or do I need something powerfull ? Also, do I just need to point it at the extruder ? or does it need to be pointing down directly at the print bed ?by fahraynk - Reprappers
thanks for your response. not clear to me what you mean though. I put crimps on the wires coming from thermistor/resistor, then I put those crimped wires into the housings. so the question is how do I get the housings to stay attached to the sanguinololu pins.. do I have to put more crimps on the sangui pins ? (because the housings fall off of the pins) also thanks for that, I only have to useby fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi. I have a sanguinololu and I have some questions about making connections to it. How do you actually connect to it ? I have some 2 and 4 pin moled housing, but they dont actually stay on they just fall right off so I think im missing something. How do I make the molex housing stay connected to the sanguinololu ? (if im even supposed to connect it with molex housing) the other question is I haby fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)

How do i properly pretension them, because all the build wiki really says is screw a nut 1mm on after spring, so to me its not really clear since slight touch makes it not level. Also about prusa iteration 2, where can i see a good build instruction so i can see how top plate has no springs? Bc its still iteration 1 instructions on wiki... they changed it all when i was halfway threw iteration 1by fahraynk - General
thanks ! so I solder every pin, and dont remove any of them. thats easy enough.by fahraynk - Sanguino(lolu)
