Hi, Yes, via Octoprint. Could it be it? If it was a kind of delay in the communication, wouldn't the other movements also stall? Thanks, Joaoabsby joaoabs - Printing
Hi, Strange behavior that I just noticed and that can explain my problem with under extrusion. I realised that my extruder stops randomly during print. Initially I thought it would be because the hotend would be traveling, but no. The movements aren't traveling movements... I caught this on a small video. Initially it is stopped, then it starts moving very slowly, but definitely stopped duringby joaoabs - Printing
Hi, I just got tired of this inconsistent printer behavior and dismantled everything: Bed, X carriage, extruder, hotend and probe and assembled everything back again. I also reduced the number of wires going to the X-carriage, as I had redundant conductors and I think it was too heavy because of that. I'll be able to do some tests tomorrow night. I'll post the results here. Thanksby joaoabs - Printing
Hi, Maybe a little late, but... Have you considered adding a TFT screeen to your MKS1.3? These ones have a few I/O expansions, useful for filament runout sensor, etc: Bigtreetech TFT35 V2.0 Touch Screen Smart Display for SKR 1.3 You may have to give up on your existing LCD, I haven't been able to have both working at the same time (haven't spent much time on it anyway). Hi, I have two Z lead screws like these: Machifit 400mm T8 Lead Screw 8mm Thread 2mm Pitch Lead Screw with Copper Nut Each screw has its own stepper (and each stepper has its own driver - using the 2nd extruder slot for Z2). I have no anti-back-lash nuts, still waiting for it. Moving Z to 150 I can measure exactly 15cm with a rule, so it shouldn't be a matter of wrong definition of "steps pby joaoabs - Printing
Hi, I'm finishing my hypercube but the test prints are failing as per the video: The first layer adheres well, sometimes the second goes OK but the third have issues adhering to the second and it messes everything up. This is an hypercube with two distinct Z axis steppers. Since the steppers are 0.8ยบ I'm using 800 steps per unit instead of the standard 400 for the lead screw T8: #define DEFby joaoabs - Printing
Well, something must be definitely wrong as I'm unable to get a decent print. It simply doesn't go beyond the 3rd layer without messing up the previous layers. Indeed the sync between Z steppers must be related, although I've tried several times a complete bed leveling routine followed immediately by a print, so no time to pressure the bed. However, sometimes the printer makes a noise when movinby joaoabs - Firmware - Marlin
Hello, @MMcLure thanks for getting back. Answering your questions: a) Yes, I'm using the bltouch for homing - There is no other sensor/switch. b) Yes, I'm using the secure home so after the X/Y homing the head goes to the center of the bed to probe Z. c) OK, G29 P1 behavior is normal. Got it. d) OK, the grid points that aren't reachable by the probe will result in the G29 T output as " . " andby joaoabs - Firmware - Marlin
Hi, Trying to get my first decent print in my newly built hypercube-alike printer. Since it has a big bed (300 x 300) I'm using UBL (Unified bed leveling). I'm using a bltouch clone as Z sensor. I've set an offset of X40 Y4 from the extruder to the bltouch tip. Following the information from this is what I did: - Flashed the firmware and reset the board - Issued M502 and M500 - G28 to home Xby joaoabs - Firmware - Marlin
So, does it mean that the fuses stated in are wrong ? I'm refering to a AT1284p in a sanguinololu 1.3 board. Thanks, Joaoby joaoabs - Sanguino(lolu)
Answering my own question as I kept trying until I got it With an arduino UNO acting as ISP, I burned again the bootloader to the AT1284p. I configured the arduino IDE to be verbose in the upload (file / preferences / "show verbose output during" - tick upload). I then copied the burn bootloader command that was (YMMV): /home/jabss/Desktop/arduino-1.6.9/hardware/tools/avr/bin/avrdude -C/homeby joaoabs - Sanguino(lolu)
Hello, I'm struggling with this one for a couple of days, and decided to come here and ask for some tips... I'm trying to upload a Marlin firmware to a sanguinololu but without success... I'm working with both a raspberry PI3 (arduino for ARM) and a normal PC with Linux LXLE (64-bit Ubuntu based) and the results are the same. I've also tried different AT1284p chips, just to cover the remote poby joaoabs - Sanguino(lolu)
Hello, I have just builded my prusa mendel and I'm still struggling to print a decent object.... I can't understand what more I need to calibrate. The printer starts printing aparently OK, but at a certain point it creates an offset on the X/Y axis and ruins everything... This image is a good example of what I mean: Any idea of what am I doing wrong? Thanks, Joaoabsby joaoabs - General Mendel Topics
