Rebuilt sprinter - X and Y aren't working - any help appreciated! - 13 years ago
I'm still working through all the kinks to get to my first print, and I would love to get some help if anybody can offer it. After I built the machine and got the host software communicating with the board, I discovered that the kit I bought wired the end-stop switches opposite from the installed firmware settings. So I worked through getting Sprinter to compile and uploaded to my board and whiby acertain - Firmware - mainstream and related support

I downloaded ReplicatorG and was able to get the stepper motors to at least do something. I could click on the arrows and get most of the motors to move, but then after a while I just got noises (that would continue even when I stopped clicking). Also, one of the z motors would turn the screw, but the other one would just vibrate back-and-forth. I'll pick it up again when I can, but if anybodyby acertain - Sanguino(lolu)

Hello reprappers! I just finished building my Mendel Prusa and I'm having trouble getting it connected to my Windows 7 computer. I think I've successfully installed the Arduino drivers with the Sanguino additions, but when I fire up the RepRap host software and try to move the motors, nothing happens (and it reports a 0.0-degree bed temp). I can't figure out how to troubleshoot from here. Theby acertain - Sanguino(lolu)

Thanks for all the info. I agree that there is some upside to waiting for the Printrbot, though the fact that I can't even order it and they haven't responded to my tweets, leaves me wondering how long waiting means. So I gather from the replies that the fact that the MakerGear (I meant MakerGear above, not MBot, clearly) forum isn't very active shouldn't concern me because most issues should bby acertain - General

Hello RepRap community - I'm interested in dipping my toe in the 3D printing world, and I've been doing some research into the best way to start out. I've found a lot of very interesting possibilities, but I haven't been able to figure out whether I can hit all my goals yet with a current offering, so I'm wondering if anybody has any advice.
