Anyone care to guess what kind of motors are in this?by akenvim - General
another word for it is called "friction tape" and many comes with double sided adhesive. It is also pretty cheap too. I also did considered using it for the bed but I am using it for other projects right now. Maybe i'll do tests to confirm it's potential for the bed later once you succeed. Please do give us an update.by akenvim - General
I've been sitting here for a while trying to figure out what to say and I still can't. I am sorry for your loss and wish you the best.by akenvim - General

this new link is more expensive! With another redundant issue too. The new one comes with PLA bushings, the mixshop kit already has 12x Linear Bearing, which I assume is 12x lm8uu bearings. The lm8uu are much better than PLA bushings. Stick with the previous link. Or what you can do is, get the mixshop kit first and wait for it to arrive than buy a plastic kit that suits your needs later.by akenvim - General
crispy that is beautiful! not as good as a certain other grey box, but very good. .5mm tip? btw I thought I was the only imgur user here.by akenvim - General
The hot tip is referred as a hotend. Since mixshop gives you the option to select filament size with a corresponding nuzzle, I assume it includes a hotend with the nuzzle size you select. As a beginner, I think the .5mm nuzzle is easier to start with. You should still contact anyways if it helps settle your worries.by akenvim - General
you edited and changed the link. The new ebay link should be perfect with the mixshop kit since they both have wades extruder. Just make sure the mixshop is a metric hardware kit and not SAE to match the printed parts. I don't have experience with mixshop so I don't know what type they send out.by akenvim - General

Newbs. Here is mine: It was printed from this specially customized elegant printer: Here is actually a print after calibration: Its decent I think for a duct tape printer that used toilet paper for linear bearings. Edit: note the exposed lm8uu on the left Y rod, it was sticking so much that I just took it out of it's socket and replaced it with toilet paper. Yeah I know, I'm a creative repby akenvim - General
Hi Jake, I see a redundancy if you are going to buy all three of these links. The Mixshop link indicates that it comes with 1x Wade's Geared Extruder, this is the part that prints out plastic. The first ebay link shows that it includes Greg's extruder printed parts, which is another geared extruder very similar to Wade's extruder. The 2nd ebay link is for a "complete" wade's geared extruder.by akenvim - General
Drop-in T-slot nuts for aluminum extrusions for various projects. I kept running out so I just made them with a standard hex nut trap.by akenvim - General
I recommend the Mendel90 by Nophead. It comes with great instructions, able to produce quality prints, has solid frame design, and is pretty popular after the prusa i2s. I actually don't have a Mendel90 myself but I've built my reprap based on it because I like the design compared to the popular triangle frame printers. Nophead sells the kits for 500pounds/ 800 USD so it is within your range. Noby akenvim - General
I love the light concept, where did you connected it to in order to produce different light intensity? I would like to try to put it on my repstrep.by akenvim - Developers
thejollygrimreaper is right. occasionally a seller is not on their toes and you may have to message them to remind them. The whole system works very similar to ebay: you order something from a seller, that seller ships it usually with tracking, then you confirm the order once you've received the item so Aliexpress can release the funds to the seller. There is a reasonable time to file a disputby akenvim - General
I don't know for everyone else but from what I've seen, about $800 USD is a good zone for a prusa mendel or mendel90. I've builted my own repstreap though for about $300 with things I already had on hand.by akenvim - General

ChipIn to ship donated servers and hardware to make this forum and RepRap.org faster. I did not set this up, just doing my part and spreading the good word.by akenvim - General
