Hi all, i'm designing a drawing machine, and since i'm planning to use marlin to drive it. It is not the first time i do that, but i have a special need. I have 2 axis, but is kind of a polar machine, so they have to work together to get a certain position on the toolhead. Anyway, being the 2 axis connected they can't really reach any pair of individual position without some risk, they have to stby secondsky - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Hi all i'm trying to use marlin to control a 2 axis drawing machine. I would like to use two stepper for x and y axis, and a servo instead of the 3rd stepper for move up and down the pen (z axis), just like an on of. I use the command M280 to control the servo, and it work. In the beginning of each paths, i put in the gcode a command to raise the pen, then a little delay, then one to move the x-by secondsky - General
Hello everyone since some time i build drawing machines, using a very basic firmware written by me. Now I want to move into marlin and use a ramps or a minitronics. I want to create and communicate the code from Processing, but I was wondering how it works with marlin. Do marlin returns a confirmation message, on the serial, every time it execute a command? There is a buffer for more than one coby secondsky - RepRap Host
My idea would be to adjust the Pololu to 1 amp from his trimmer, which is also the limit beyond which the driver itself must be cooled.by secondsky - General
Hello everyone, I'm new in the forum and would like to ask you a question: I have four of these motors arising from a project done in the past, I was wondering if it would be good to make a RepRap, I thought like Prusa i3. Resistance is a bit 'high, not the best for extreme microstepping, but the couple is good. My first idea would be to use them with a RAMPS, because I already have some Pololu dby secondsky - General
