my theory behind my suggestion was that the bed is "running" away from printing head. this would be due to the Y rods being on a slope in relation to a flat table. Ajayre, can you check the level of these Y smooth rods within the accuracy that you need?by Rhum51 - General
Hi Andy, You might want to consider adjusting the triangular frame. shorten slightly the front (almost vertical) threaded rods or lengthen the back ones or a bit of both. This will offset the top assembly towards the front ever so slightly as well as bringing it closer to the front.by Rhum51 - General
Salut!
For tidying it up, i'm not usually that organised but... -i used a lot of cable tie for the wiring.... (i bought a big pack of coloured ones from B&Q for £1!) -have bin close by for the scrappy bits lying about! For the stability, i dont have any issues... but i'm not printing yet at higher speeds.by Rhum51 - North East of England RepRap Usergroup
Well....only coz the misses made me tidy up the conservatory!!! take the spagettis out and mine was looking the same....by Rhum51 - North East of England RepRap Usergroup
This sounds pretty good to me! it was just a bit too short notice for tonight but i will definitely show up next time it's on to see what it's all about!by Rhum51 - North East of England RepRap Usergroup
Cool! i'm in Belmont. currently, i mainly print in ABS though i have some PLA on order. My prints have improved a lot since my initial post here mainly after i recalibrated it. i replaced last night the T2.5 pulleys on X and Z so i will try tonight if this improves my prints as i think i am getting a lot of backlash and slips on the belt. since i'm trying to use kisslicer primarily, there is noby Rhum51 - North East of England RepRap Usergroup

both done too! though there is nothing confidential in the answers, i agree with Banjer... would be nice to hear what you intend to do with them.by Rhum51 - General
thanks for all these. i've also changed my end.gcode with G28 X0 which works fine.by Rhum51 - General
Hi all.... I seem to have a problem at the end of the print. i cant work out if it is at the last layer or the 1 before last. The printer stalls or goes very very slowly around the same area and is still extruding! See the result on the image! i've attached the owl gcode If that helps, i have a reprap pro using ABS, Pronterface and slicing with skeinforge. is it a skeinforge setting issue?by Rhum51 - General
i know the feeling... i was skiping a lot at the beginning... on my first few prints. it turned out that the extruder was not calibrated and was extruding 140mm when i asked for 100mm. this created a bit of noise of the clamp during higher speed extrusion. Calibrated it and slightly under the 100mm extrusion... Et voila! no more skiping or noises!by Rhum51 - General

As i haven't printed anything yet... (still waiting for my machine to arrive...) i'm trying to get a feel for things... With the details of your parameter, could you also add the printing time? + or - 10 min will be fine!by Rhum51 - General
Well, i took it as a challenge and modelled that rook! i will print it once my printer is setup and managed few decent prints... but first, the reprappro needs to be delivered!!! It needs a little bit of improvement on the proportions but at least one can tell it is slightly different from the 3DS version! what would be a reasonable size stl file for this one? i generated 1 with custom settings aby Rhum51 - General
interesting... 3dstudio posted it in feb 2011... this link shows bublication of pictures in march 2013. i think 3dstudio didnt do the design but modelled it and generated the stl. and now sell the stl file... Does this mean that i would be allowed to model it, stl it and sell it too?by Rhum51 - General
Hi all, i see this post is getting old with no answer to the question. Larslander, did you manage to print it? if you still need a model, give us a few dimensions of your component, at least, we need the spherical radius, this can be modeled in 10min (ish) Rhum51.by Rhum51 - Let's design something! Hi all, still new to the forum but couldnt resist the temptation to reply... that made me giggle as i was just imagining myself giving the pooping noise, the guy in the video just did it! I'll see if i can do some design on this. Rhum51by Rhum51 - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
