Right now I have a 10k resistor between ground the signal, and another one inline with the output pin. I don't mind getting a different probe if it would be easier to work with. Can you recommend something? Or I should just get the NPN version of the same probe. Thanks,by HoloPed - Controllers

Hey gang. I have an induction sensor (LJ12A3-4-Z/BY, same one used by Printrbot) and voltage divider resistors. I'm feeding it 12v. When the output pin is not connected to the RAMPS, I measure 0v when the sensor is in the air, and 5v when it's touching metal. However, the Z-Min endstop status is always OPEN or TRIGGERED (depending if I invert the logic in the firmware) and doesn't change stateby HoloPed - Controllers

Hi all. Is anyone using an LCD with Marlin? I uncommented "#define ULTRA_LCD " but now it doesn't compile: ultralcd.cpp:22: error: 'MANUAL_FEEDRATE' was not declared ultralcd.cpp:919: error: 'SHIFT_CLK' was not declared and many more... So, which extruder + hot head are you using, and why is it good / bad ? Here are the ones I know about: J-Head hotend, which seem expensive (worth it ?) qu-bd Cheap ! Another hotend, even more expensive: And the default PG35L extruder that seems to be everywhere. Did I miss something ?by HoloPed - General

Where did you buy the metal parts and how much did it end up costing ? Did you print the plastic parts or buy them ? Are you happy with it ? How is the Z-axis resolution ? (I have worries about threaded rods...) Anyone willing to help me out and print the parts needed for the wood box version, I would be super grateful (I'm in Ontario). Thanks.by HoloPed - General
