hey guys, i had a few questions regarding the various sections of reprap.so i just posted it here. 1-in case of the x-idler and the y-idler,if we put a printed pulley over the bearing, then would it lead to inaccuracy? 2-i want to run my sanguino at 20Mhz,is it possible?(by setting fuses or any other way......) 3-in the sanguinolou schematic, why can't we add a fuse to it? 4-in the ramps schemby shakerobo - General
another interesting thing is that in the circuit of ramps, all the step enable pins of the motor driver are connected to the a unique pin on the atmega chip.but here in the sanguinololu the step enable pins of 4 drivers are connected to the same pin on the atmega 644p.any reasons why is it like that? regards, shakerobo ps-sorry for the typos if any.by shakerobo - Sanguino(lolu)
sorry i couldn't reply fast because my pc crashed and the laptop had to be installed woth eagle(main is my laziness) i found all the doubts except the second one? thank you all for the prompt replies!! regards, shakeroboby shakerobo - Sanguino(lolu)
as i said above ,all the granules won't be there in the pipe. whenever after each stroke, the hopper in the stationary feed will release some of it,which would travel through a pipe to the funnel.thus, there won't be any load on the extruder due to the main stationary feed of granules. regards, shakeroboby shakerobo - General
well reeling is a problem because i haven't thought much about it.maybe some liquid coolant(saw a youtube video) could be used to cool the hot filament or use many rollers to cool it down gradually. another issue is regarding the material.i don't know as of yet(because i havn't seen a 3d printer).after seeing some videos of printing by a reprap.i think that the material loses it's elastic propeby shakerobo - General
@samberr well the stamina is an issue but this can can be used as a filament maker, which i hope won't need any need to sit around it and inspect it!!! as a small formfactor it is a wrong choice but there's a way to solve it.there would be a main feed above the home of the printer and a sensor to detect the amount of granules left in the funnel/hopper.whenever sensor detects less granules is lefby shakerobo - General
i have seen people saying that ramps is the best solution for the first time. well the gen7 is cheap. ramps is a bit pricey. sanguinololu is also cheap. r2c2 is the cutting edge set but comes at a hefty price tag!!by shakerobo - Controllers
hey guys, i recently went through the sanguino files and i had a few doubts regarding it and i would really be grateful if it is solved at the earliest. 1-are all the step_enable pins of all the drivers connected to the same pin of the atmega644p? 2-there is peculiar arrow ( > ) shape on the few pins of the atmega 644p in the given schematic.what does that signify? 3-in the mosfets partby shakerobo - Sanguino(lolu)
hey guys, just wanted to give my opinion. i am still newbie to this and the reprap wiki isn't that helpful because of the navigation and the deep links and poor tagging to different pages. i think the whole homepage should be changed and we should probably give it a great makeover. i strongly believe that showing other deravatives or other 3d printer , which may be commercial or not, should beby shakerobo - General
i had searched for granule extruder and got only screw drive based extruders, hence just gave a shot on making a pump based. thank you for the quick explanation.i have thought of a design by making the heating element slanted and a different mechanism for it's operation.will soon post the developments. i know the v1 is such a mess that no one could understand it.soon,i will type the written noteby shakerobo - General
hey guys, yesterday i saw a blog post at mendelparts.com regarding the announcement of granule extruder,so i just gave a thought on it and got a few ideas which i would like to share it with the reprap community. i have uploaded two designs for the extruder.i may not be knowing all the technical terms,so i regret if i have used any wrong terminology in the picture.the design is drawn in a mess(by shakerobo - General
guys, this is the new plan Hardware:- not buying it but will make it at home).the design is fast than compared to only using lead screws. Electronics:-the same(waiting for gen 4 electronics) Software:-same(will experiment more after some printing) Motors:-now i will use either nema17 or nema23 stepper motors. Extruder:-well i m quite researching about it now but will surely inform about the furtby shakerobo - General
hey guys, i m gaurav from india and m presently starting out with making my own reprap. i have had plans for doing it :- for the mechanics i m going to build this design for the electronics i m going to use the generation 2 electronics ie the sanguino and others. the motors which i m using are for the software part i m directly going to upload the firmware in the bootloaded sanguino after reaby shakerobo - General
hey, can u give some sort of catalog of the parts that u r selling? i m need of the bare pcb's used in the reprap. Regards, Gauravby shakerobo - India RUG
