I use 2 stepstick to run the motors in marlin the only thing you have to do is define Dual_z_stepper_driver in configuration_adv Check my configuration files that i posted in other topic to see how i defined the dual stepperby RicardoGA - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Thats right i have autlevel and the z axis movement is minimal As say uncle_bobby RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
Thats right the z axis feedrate i use is 150 mm/min the reason is noise and i dont need to much speed in z but in test i can drive the z axis as fast as 600 mm/minby RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
you can use only one motor check the link i leave you its a modification to do this in thingverse but the reason for the 2 motors is to get more spped in the z axis with a small stepper and the motor run cooler and even you can use 2 stepstick to drive the 2 motors and this make the stepstick runs coolerby RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
regpye let me know if you have a problem, i leave you my configuration and configuration adv files, i´m using 2 pololu to drive my z axisby RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
Hi i have a Prusa i3 with autolevel bed and the probe eveithing works ok but when use G28 to go home i can no go to 0 z axis or when i use G29 to autoleven after the moves i cant go to 0 because Repetier don´t get the positions like X 15.0 Z10.0 etc but in the lcd of the printer have the positions This is my configuration file of Marlin if someone can check and see if i have to enable or diby RicardoGA - Repetier
Try adding a fan to the ramps maybe your arduino is overheating and is resettingby RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
Check in your configuration file the feedrate of z axis in this line #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE Alsso check the homing feedrate #define HOMING_FEEDRATE the z axis need a low speed if you try to dirve the z axis to fast the motors only make a noise and cant turn the z axis, if you have 2 stepstick or Pololu drives and your board is a ramps 1.4 you can drive the 2 z axis with one stepper dby RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
Hi i'm an industrial designer and i can help you to make the design and the 3d model, you want the design for a prusa i3 laser cut or for an other model?by RicardoGA - General Mendel Topics
Hi my question is possible use Full Graphic Smart LCD Controller from reprap discount with repetier firmware, the firmware have an option for the Smart LCD Controller but i dont know if its compatible with the full graphic Smart LCD Thanks In advanceby RicardoGA - Repetier
try to connect the lcd using this diagram GND P1 -- GND VCC P2 -- 5V VLCD P3 -- 10K Trimpot LCDRS P4 -- D16 GND P5 -- GND LCDE P6 -- D17 LCD4 P11 -- D23 LCD5 P12 -- D25 LCD6 P13 -- D27 LCD7 P14 -- D29 P15 -- R1K 5v GND P16 -- VCC and in configuration define i leave yout the links for the schematics #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLERby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
it work if you add the changes to the firmware to make it compatible with the lcd controller ST7735R, marlin is already compatible with these lcd controller ST7920, ST7565R if you find one lcd with SD card with one of the 2 controller i mention it will be much easier get it workby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
no but i used this without problem in my ramps 1.4 with marlin and is cheap and easy to get work because the library U8GLIB is already configured in the firmware Graphic LCDby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
or you could try with marlin firmware i have no problem with this firmware with the same electronics samps 1.4 heatbed, arduino mega 2560 r3, Graphic lcd, SD reader and 2 fansby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
you could get this i buyed it and work great with a graphic lcd, Sd card, an encoder, heatbed, a fans (1 for print and 1 to cool the ramps) so this work great for what yout want and the price is great 12V 30Amp Regulated power switching PSUby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
are you using a pc psu or a regulated power switching psu, if you are using a pc power supply many pc psu needs a load in the 5v rail to get a stable 12vby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
Found the problem and solved The problem was the pcb Heatbed this has a short the solutions has changed the pcb heatbedby RicardoGA - General

also i connect the fan and work ok but as soon as i try withthe heatbed the problem appear again the power shut down and the mosfet blowby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
i put a heater cartridge and work without a problem dont kill the mosfet and the cartdige heat normal the resistance in the heatbead is 1.4ohmsby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
ok thanks for the assintence i found this irf 3205with rdson .008 and work great in the hotend and the fan the but with the heatbed i have a problen as soon as i turn on the heatbed the power supply (power switching (led) 12v 30 A) shut down the power and when i disconnect and connect the power supply to restablish the power the mosfet is blowed i tried dierent mosfet like irf 3205, irfz44n, pby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
hi I've a problem with the heatbed mk2 it's connected to ramps 1.4 and the power supply is a regulated power switching supply 12v 30a but when i turn on the heatbed the regulated power cut off the power i think is the power supply shortage protection the resistence of the heatbed is 1.4 ohm please helpe to solve this thanks in advanceby RicardoGA - General
hi my ramps 1.4 have a mosfet burn (heatbead) but in my city is hard to find electronic parts i dont know much about electronics so i want to ask if this mosfet can be use insted of the stock of ramps Stock IRF512 4.9A, and 5.6A, 80V and 100V, 0.54 and 0.74 Ohm Replacement IRF640 N - CHANNEL 200V - 0.150Ω - 18A Thanks in advanceby RicardoGA - RAMPS Electronics
