Also at what point is the "sense" point? IE for the probe offset, is it between the IR sensors and the led's or at the IR sensor? Not that a few mm makes a huge difference, just curious if that was known.by mkelly - For Sale
I've been enjoying this a great deal. I'd like to try and run the repeatibility test but can't seem to figure out how to trigger the g-code command: M48 Can anyone give some advise on why I can't run this? I'm running a slightly older version of marlin.by mkelly - For Sale
Quoteakhlut Companies pursuing patent violations against individuals is not an economically viable business model. No it's not, but it's good to at least understand where the limitations are.by mkelly - General
Quoteakhlut There is nothing preventing you from constructing your own heated chamber.Patent infringement doesn't just apply to the sale of items. There's nothing preventing you from doing it, but you could theoretically be sued for it. Not saying it would ever happen, but they have that option.by mkelly - General
I don't love our 2x. It's decent when it works, but man it loves to jam.by mkelly - General
Just kinda depends how much power you have left. That's a 50W bulb so it'll be drawing 4A. Unless that's an equivalence value because 50W from an LED sounds like a lot I'm using one of these: I had spare. It's only 10W so it's drawing less than an amp. Pretty easy for my PSU to handle that.by mkelly - Controllers
I don't know if it's claimed, but stratasys has this design in their patent:by mkelly - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
Chances are you'll be fine since most use just a Live and Neutral line. They might have an L2 line or something but just ignore it.by mkelly - Controllers
QuoteCefiar mkelly: if the heater is 1.1 ohm, at 24V that's closer to 22A, and possibly more at startup/cold. Note also that SSR's need to be mounted on a heatsink to handle their full current capacity. Also make sure you're using BANG-BANG control in your firmware, as the high switching speed of PID control on a heated bed will just make an SSR heat up faster.I had the SSR mounted to a heatsink.by mkelly - RAMPS Electronics
It would have a selector switch on the side to toggle between 120v and 240v if it was compatible with both.by mkelly - Controllers
Anyone have a recomendation for a solid state relay able to handle startup draw of 20A on 24v for a 1.1ohm kapton heater? The 25A fotek I got off amazon died during the 2 minutes of heat up.by mkelly - RAMPS Electronics
Probably not. Do you have a link for the power supply? Does it have a voltage selector switch?by mkelly - Controllers
I have installed a RRD Fan Extender in my Robo 3d with dual extruders. I'm running a Ramps 1.4 on the latest marlin firmware. By default the firmware enabled Pin 4 for D4 output for Fan control, which is good. I have my primary extruder cooling fan set to be always on, but I'm looking to have the secondary extruder only have the fan enabled when the extruder is on. I've been searching aroundby mkelly - RAMPS Electronics
Those are some nice looking prints! 100 microns?by mkelly - Look what I made!
