Is the fetching bright green module still available? If not, when do you expect to restock z probe kits on the website? Paulby paulnd - General
I've filled one of these with acetone and used it to smooth the surface, it's also great for cleaning the PrintBite surface. I just want to add my experiences here, I bought one of the first versions of Flex3Drive when it was released, I've found "Mutley" to be incredibly helpful, often responding to emails within minutes at 11pm on a Saturday night. He has also replaced parts at no charge even when they were most likely out of warranty. He is clearly very passionate about his products and looks after his customers. Pby paulnd - General
Hi Can anyone recommend a UK source for a 200mm x 200mm milled aluminium heat bed plate please? Thanks Paulby paulnd - General
Hello, I'll be very grateful if someone can please help me resolving this 1st layer problem, I'm printing ABS on Buildtak. Thanks Paulby paulnd - General

Hi, I had a similar problem recently and found that the x idler and motor assemblies weren't level. It's possible that your bed is parallel so the distance between the bed and the nozzle is constant or changes by only a small amount but each layer is printed slightly displaced in the x axis. I use auto bed levelling which compensated for the difference and it took me a while to figure out whatby paulnd - Mendel90
Hi I'm expecting my TMC 2100 drivers this week and will be very grateful for any other tips or even a guide on installing them please? Paulby paulnd - General
Hi, A brief update, I have the same problem with Pronterface so I assume that it's firmware related. The hotend no longer heats up at all if I don't disconnect and reconnect the print and the displayed hotend temperature remains at what ever it was when the print started. After I disconnect and reconnect every thing works correctly. I am still hopeful that someone may has a suggestion althougby paulnd - RAMPS Electronics
Hi, I've asked this questions on the Repetier host forum but unfortunately the devs have not come across this before so I'm trying here. Using Repetier host v1.06 I find that I need to disconnect and reconnect before starting a new print otherwise the hotend temperature doesn't register although it is heating. The first time this happened the hotend reached almost 300C before I realised what waby paulnd - RAMPS Electronics
Hello, I really like the design of your enclosure and was wondering if you have had any further thoughts on publishing it? I will be very grateful if you did even if only the printed parts and a brief list of parts Regards Paul Quoteben_van @Alzibiff: not sure about publishing anything as of yet. There would be a few minor things to fix to make it perfect. @demetris: This enclosure has doby paulnd - Mendel90
I reduced the feed rate to 3mm/sec which seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help.by paulnd - Mendel90
I'll check the max speed when I'm at home tonight but I have tried setting it lower. Load resistors are connected to both railsby paulnd - Mendel90
Hello, I'll be grateful for any assistance with my recently built Mendel90. I can move the Z axis using the Pronterface controls and G0 without any problems and it also homes correctly. However as soon as the print starts only one of the Z axis motors turns. I've tried adjusting the trim pot on the Ramps 1.4 driver without effect and I'm using a 500W PSU. Thanks for your suggestions and feedback, very useful although I'm still a bit confused by the different types of sensors and advantages/disadvantaged of each. I am away on holiday for a few days and will mull over using a Duet board on my Mendel90 before I start thinking about sensors, get the basics working first... If you've used a Duet board on a Mendel90 before, any tips, things to lookby paulnd - Ormerod
Hello, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I'm planning to replace a blown Melzi board with a Duet board on my Mendel90. I'm interested in DC42's sensors and wondered if anyone is using one on a Mendel90 and which type is recommended if they are indeed compatible? Regards Paulby paulnd - Ormerod

I have also had success but had similar bed temperature problems. I tried implementing algebraic temperature calculations which is used in the Reprappro firmware but got errors when compiling. Unfortunately I have have very limited programming knowledge, perhaps someone can assist? I found this : As a interim solution, I measured the bed temperature with an IR thermometer and found thermistoby paulnd - Huxley
Hello, What bed thermistor is shipped with new Reprappro Huxleys? I've compiled a Marlin branch with "8 is 100k 0603 SMD Vishay NTCS0603E3104FXT (4.7k pullup)" as the bed sensor but the temperature readings are about 10°C too low, I have uploaded the Huxley firmware again and it reads correctly so it's not a wiring problem. I have attached the configuration.h file and will be grateful for aby paulnd - Huxley
Quoteepatel I think cajun-cat has a nice approach with a software assisted bed levelling feature. I really want to test this. But not sure what should be configured for a RepRapPro Huxley compared to what RepRapPro has done in their private Marlin repo. Hello, I'm very pleased with my newly built Huxley and I'm now looking at adding a Z probe. I'm planning a simple, manual probe to set up the bed rather than an automatic probe at the start of each print. I've dug into the firmware and this appears to be supported? If so, I'm a bit confused by line 130: QuoteWire bed probe to A2 on Melzi and duplicate cap/resistor circuit in schematic. Isby paulnd - Huxley
