Well I did the easy thing swapped ramps and mega 2560 board out works fine now so something wrong on my others board just do not know what it is.by Anthony2014 - General

Hi, in the italian section we got same problems on LCD going off. I'm talking about powering with 12v and the D1 mod. We found out it is a broken line from D1-1N4004 to AM-VIN, seems a common fault in the board production. Take a multimeter and check continuity between those point. If so just bridge. Hello I am trying to install the reprap discount full graphics smart controller on ramps 1.4 i have the adapter installed also. I uncommented the line in marlin for the controller. When i have my usb from pc plugged into ramps 1.4 it lights up display some info such as basic temps fan speeds. If i unplug the usb from PC the screen is black. From my reading on this lcd i think it said 5v power wilby Anthony2014 - General

I had my mosfet burn out last week on two different ramps 1.4 boards due to trying to run a heater bed that draws alot of Amps. I installed a new heater relay from makerfarm $ 15 and replaced mosfets was like $6 for 5 on ebay and added some 10*10 aluminum heatsink( dont remember cost) to it also can be found on ebay. Running now. Just so you know you can just replace the mosfet itself not thby Anthony2014 - Reprappers

Bad mosfet on ramps boards replaced works fine. Makerfarm good company helped me solve it.by Anthony2014 - General

Thanks guys for the info I just ordered IRLB8743PBF hopefully it is correct. Yes it is for heater bed mosfet. I really do miss the old radio shack..lol. I am running the makerfarm heater bed 8.4*12 with their heater relay that they sale.( Well trying to)by Anthony2014 - General

Actually there is 2 ways. I can ask on here for some one with a little more knowledge than you I guess, or go find one with similar specs at radio shack. I prefer to know if someone has done this already. Due to the fact that all the replacement ones I came across are not listed on radio shack website.by Anthony2014 - General

Hello I have a makerfarm heater relay and makerfarm hot bed I have the temp set in pronterface but for some reason the hot bed just keeps getting hotter? Any clue why it would not stop at the temp I set for it like my other one did( before heater relay). tyby Anthony2014 - General

I just purchased the 8825 from reprapdiscount.com but they are different from the pictures and the silk side is up. My question is why are they like this and were do you put a heatsink if running ramps 1.4 not enough room to mount it to the chip since it is underneath and not on top or am i wrong?by Anthony2014 - General
