Stepper motors not moving??? - 10 years ago
I've recently reconstructed my printer that I took apart a while back, during a testing of the electronics I found out the XYZ motors weren't working (only vibrating) but they would move only after when I clicked home for each of the axis, also extruder motor still functioned normally. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? thanks!by 4Lyfe - General

I've reloaded a new marlin firmware onto the printer, and I didnt write down the default values for the old version, but the current default values definitely does not match up with the steppers or extruder. Do you still have or possibly know what your steps/mm were?by 4Lyfe - General

Was just wondering if anyone has accurate x,y,z,e axis steps for the qu-bd two-up printer, calibrating the steps has been a pain, especially with the extruder motor. I've followed multiple guides which did indeed do the job to a certain extent, however the quality needs more improvement. Or if anyone has any tips for calibrating the stepper motors and extrusion rates, any help would be appreciaby 4Lyfe - General
Thermistor reading too hot - 10 years ago
I was replacing my printer's hotend, and tested it out by printing a calibration cube. But the commands wouldnt work, and I found out whenever I open Repetier-host the extruder temp. reading would be at 478 degrees Celsius, which is def not the case since my hotend is cool at touch. I also reloaded the marlin firmware, but nothing worked, could there be a line of code to change this in the firmwaby 4Lyfe - General
Too many issues with this print! - 10 years ago
I've just fixed some issues with my printer's stepper motors and after a few calibration prints, I tried to print out a real design, however, multiple problems occurred after the first few layers. As you can see in the attached photos, there is missing infill, small beads instead of lines that cover the perimeters, and slight offset of layers. Anyone know what's causing these problems? Thanks! I had to rewire some of the electronics on my printer recently. Instead of moving, one of the stepper motors would vibrate. With a closer inspection, I realized the motor was trying to spin in both directions, which created the vibration. I believe there's an error with the wiring of the electronics, but even after several rearrangements of the wires on the motor, it would do the same thing whenby 4Lyfe - General
Damage to printer? - 10 years ago
I was changing up my printer's hotend, because it was leaking and while doing so I decided to check for any more problems. I heated the hotend without realizing my thermistor had not been attached, and the heater of the hotend started glowing bright red, I then immediately turned off the heater. All the electronics still works fine as it seems, but could the overheating of the hotend heater haveby 4Lyfe - General
