@cat.farmer That is a great idea, would not know how to go about it off my head though. as I do have allot of parts lying about. as wanting the series to be open to all people wanting to build a printer that won't have the spares like I have laying around. But unlike others I do not want a pre-done kit, and want to show how stuff can be done differently rather then just following the design by tby IMarsbar - General
Cheers for feedback, will check links when finish work. @o_lampe sorry I am really bad at explaining my thoughts, one reason why I started youtube to improve myself. I am not looking at inventing my own printer, I am looking for quite a popular printer that I can do a "how to" guide basically on how to build it. But not as a kit, one reason I find that not as interesting, most work already doneby IMarsbar - General
Hey there, I have not been on this forum much, mainly just stalking, Anyway to cut short I have received a sum of money from my youtube network that I am partnered with to create a new YouTube series which will be based upon 3D printing, Specifically the reprap side of things. My main part of this will be to build your own, not from a kit, but parts. Currently I have a Prusia i3 that I have beeby IMarsbar - General
Lot of posts regarding Tape, one of the main benefits of Printbite over the more known Buildtak is that it is NOT pre-applied with tape, I felt that my Buildtak was a one use product (in this case quite literately lol) It is handy to have spare tape if you change / upgrade at a later date. or if your glass breaks. Adding tape to the order separately also would greatly increase the cost as it woby IMarsbar - General
QuoteWZ9V What window cleaner are you using? Clean n' Fresh window and glass cleaner, Is just a generic one i got from the £1 store in village.just sprayed on warm bed, wiped with toilet roll and then let it heat up to full temp. 125 for ABS for me with me placing a leather folder on bed, then it cools down to 95 as it dont have enough power as i need to upgrade but still works perfect. managby IMarsbar - General
I found that window cleaner did work better then acetone, no idea why I did have to have my bed temp hotter then normal as obviously got another layer for heat to get through, did you fix it down with double sided tape or clamped down? for bed height mine is almost touching bed, can't get paper under it, just print and forget for me, just wish other parts of my printer would stop breakingby IMarsbar - General
Just like to add, tried with Nylon last night, printed worm gear so thin and tall, head 265, bed 115. Printed spot on. Released off bed once cooled no pressure, felt like no diff to printing abs. My first time with Nylon so don't know how hard it is to normally print with itby IMarsbar - General
QuoteTreito BuildTak is very sensitive about the first layer. If it is too deep you damage the BuildTak after removing the part. So I damage already two of them. Three left Wow, you bought 5 of them :O I thought I would only need one, as with Printbite, I am pretty shocked that the Buildtak is so fragile, since come on...we are reprap'ers... we are not all specialists and get it perfect all tby IMarsbar - General
Got some Printbite last week, threw it on my print bed with some double sided vynal floor tape, leveled it BY EYE. Heated ABS to 240, bed to 120, Hit print and was ready for a mess..... I was very surprised at how well this performs, I have been stuck using PLA for past year as I have always had trouble with ABS warping/sticking.... of-course ABS slurry worked once I tried that last month but damby IMarsbar - General
