Good Morning everybody, finally I got the time to set up a filament run out sensor, but ... I used the Z-Max Endstop PINS and changed it in Marlin. When I run a M119 to see the status of the enstop, I find the 3x Min Endstops and the filament. When I m changing manually the status of the filament Input I see the movement with my M119 command. I enabled the runout sensor and advanced pause modeby hello_tom - Developers
Hello, i m using the most recent marlin firmware and got the problem that now the Y-Axis is moving in both cases of X-Axis and Y-Axis. I m have some experience with the marlin firmware but do not know we to look for a solution. About any advice I would be very happy. Regards Tomby hello_tom - Firmware - Marlin
Hello may an easy to answer question. Is it possible to run a 3D printer based on the Marlin Firmware with two independent print heads? Thanks for your help or links. Regards Tomby hello_tom - General
Hello everyone, I m about to set up my printer and experience a problem, it is about the homing. For example, the axis / any axis of the three is positioned somewhere but not at the endstop or course. Next I want to home the axis, but what happens is that sometimes it actually works and sometimes it is like the endstop is already triggered but the axis is not at its home position. Can anyoneby hello_tom - General
Thank you for your response. I tried to check the PINS via M43 but I could not even connect to the board (using simplify 3D). I m a bit helpless at the moment what to do...by hello_tom - Firmware - Marlin
Hello thank you for your help. I enabled the pull ups and testing by grounding the signal, but when check via M119 Endstop status, nothing changes. Anything I could do / test? Regards, Tomby hello_tom - General
Hello everyone, may thats a too easy question or has been answered somewhere alreday, but I have an old CNC machine with endstops just wired for two cables as seen in the picture. I want to use that machine as a 3D printer and now wondering how I can do that by using the marlin firmware. Does anyone has experience with that? Regards Tomby hello_tom - General
Hello everyone, I m trying to run the Marlin firmware on my Tronxy X5SA as described on blogs. Now I m facing the problems that only one Z Motor is turning and not the two. I chassed the problem to the point that, the PINs in Marlin for #define Z2_ENABLE_PIN #define Z2_STEP_PIN #define Z2_DIR_PIN are incorrect. Question: who do I get to know the right or the PINs of other Outputs? Thank yoby hello_tom - Firmware - Marlin
Hi dark_man did get the problem solved because I have exactly the same and I m getting mad!!!! Would be amazing if you could share your experience.by hello_tom - Firmware - Marlin
Yes I was thinking that the CLEARANCE section is the relevant section in this case but I m not getting his raising. Could may someone post its working //=========================================================================== //============================= Z Probe Options ============================= //=========================================================================== and //===by hello_tom - General
Hello, I just swapped to the newest Version Marlin 1.1.0-RC8 - 6 Dec 2016 and now have problems with my ABL. In pronterface I m doing a G 28 fine. After that I send a G 29 the printhead moves to the correct X/Y coordinations, goes down to the first point and then straight to the second point without raising the head. I know from my older version that there are used to be values like e.g. Z_RAIby hello_tom - General
Hello everyone, I have a problem with inverting my inductive Sensor (NC). My marlin settings are: #define Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING false #define Z_MIN_PROBE_ENDSTOP_INVERTING false The results when triggering the Sensor are: z_min: TRIGGERED z_probe: TRIGGERED and z_min: open z_probe: TRIGGERED This means I can home the Z axis but when running the ABL, the printer acts like the Sensor is cby hello_tom - General
Hello everyone, I m just about to finish a garage size (3.0mx1.5mx1.7m) 3D printer by using most of the electronics from my Prusa i3 and of course slightly bigger mechanics. I want to use the ABL feature (using grid mode) for my big printer as well and now I m thinking about how to do that in the best way because he should not probe the whole print bed (3.0mx1.7m) but just the area where I m goiby hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello, I build a bigger Prusa i3 by using my old marlin + adjustments. As I m using now external stepper motor driver - I m looking for the setting where I set the little back move of the axes just after homing/ hitting the endstop the first time? Does anyone know where I can find that? Best regards Tomby hello_tom - Reprappers
So just coming back with the solution: const bool X_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING = true; // set to true to invert the logic of the endstop. const bool Y_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING = true; // set to true to invert the logic of the endstop. const bool Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING = true; // set to true to invert the logic of the endstop. const bool X_MAX_ENDSTOP_INVERTING = true; // set to true to invert the logicby hello_tom - Reprappers
Thanks a lot - yes that was the problem! I enabled a pause at height 5 mm. Thanks a lot - now I can use the other 50 percent of my printer again : )by hello_tom - Reprappers
Oh my good you are right I found it: But what does it mean... I was looking in my Cura and for a parameter called "Z height to tweak at (mm)" and there is the value 5! I will delete that 5 and see whether it s gone. ;LAYER:32 ;TYPE:CUSTOM M83 G1 E-5.000000 F6000 G1 Z15 F300 G1 X190.000000 Y190.000000 F9000 M84 E0 M0 G1 E5.000000 F6000 G1 E-5.000000 F6000 G1 X66.791000 Y81.499000 Z5.000000 F90by hello_tom - Reprappers
Jeep I m using Cura and the problem occurs when I print from SD Card as well.by hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello, I have a problem for a while why I can just use 50% of the size of my printer :-I At the same height the printer stops, Z axis moves up a bit, X and Y move to a relativ place, stop and then continue printing... Please find a video (from 3:30 on) of the problem here: Thanks for your support. Tomby hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello, I m fighting with that issues for already quite a while. When I do the auto bed leveling the Z axis is not raising between the probes. I have read quite some forums but could not find something that works in my case (but saw that I m not the only person who suffers). I have a Prusa i3, RAMPS 1.4, Marlin from 01.12.2015 Thanks for help... Tom and some of my auto bed leveling code:by hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello again, I assembled the mechanics almost completely now. Now I want to get the motors running: I bought M542T Drivers, RAMPS 1.4, and a MEGA 2560 (I want to try it with that one first, after moving to a SainSmart Due SAM3X8E 32-bit). I will do the following: - Connect the 4 wires of the RAMPS with the PUL+, PUL-, DIR+ and DIR- of the M542T - Connect the Motor to A+,A-,B+ and B- of the M54by hello_tom - Reprappers
Sorry for the late response. After doing some research about where to get the parts, I have to say that I must step back to 1.5mx3.0mx2.0m because the biggest aluminium bed I could find was a 1.5mx3.0m. @ Govahnator: yes probably I will go for a Nema 24. Do you whether I can use it with my RAMPS 1.4? Thank you for the hint with the arduino duo 32 - I use that one. I hope I can realize it for 3.by hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello everyone, I m thinking about to build a fairly (L-W-H: 3.5m x 2.0m x 3.0m) big 3D Printer. So I started to look at my Prusa 3i (200mmx200mmx200mm) and the following adjustments: The print bed will not move because it s going to be quite heavy. At each corner will be a column with a mechanic or belt to move the X and Y axis up and down (that s going to be the heaviest portable part). I waby hello_tom - Reprappers
May to finish this topic/ to come back with my experience: I changed the start code from G28 to G28 X0 Z0 followed by a G29 and it works great. All the best Tomby hello_tom - Reprappers
Thanks a lot !!! - I just downloaded the Marlin 1.1.0 rc3 version, copied my settings and your auto bed leveling config into it and now it works great when doing a G29 in Pronterface, BUT when sending a G28 followed by a G29 (Pronterface and for Cura the same) he is doing a different/ false auto bed leveling. Did anyone experienced the same problem? I just made a video to make the problem more tby hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello DjDemonD, thanks - I will install my stops like you do. Would you mind to post your ABL code section here, so I can try your settings. That would be great! The hint with the negative values is very good as well - I will try that. Tomby hello_tom - Reprappers
Soo my home position now is (0,0,0) but it s still not working properly. When I send a g29 using pronterface he says that z probe is out of the bed... and when I want to start printing he is probing three times at the same point (at home position). I quite frustated with that - can me someone? That would be incredible. Thanks Tomby hello_tom - Reprappers
Hello tjnamtiw, May you are right. Because I was doing the following test by using pronterface - homing (X 200, Y 200, Z 0) - move printhead to zero 0, 0, 0 - run G 29 - works great. Does it mean that I can not use auto bed levelling with x and y max end stops? For me that sounds a bit of stupid...by hello_tom - Reprappers
Sorry for the late response. I have a Prusa i3 and my endstops are MAX for axes X and Y and for Z it s MIN. Yes I home before the probe. Yes I will try to play a bit with the probe positions. Right now when I m probing X and Y endstops are touched. Thanks a lot - I will come back after testing different Probe positions.by hello_tom - Reprappers
