Why are heat sink sectional cuts have non uniform depths (while turning operation) in E3D Lite6 and Prometheus hot ends? What advantage does this have?by Pawan - General
Does it matter? In delta, the algorithm is like all three axis motors keep rotating until the first end stop is hit and one of the motor stops, then the other two keep rotating until one of them is hit and stops...then the third. So even when delta firmware is run on cartesian, each carriage should hit and stop. Does the algorithm activates and deactivates during homing process? Or are the endby Pawan - General
Sry, but what is MAX endstops?by Pawan - General
I just want to know latest details directly from active/ experienced reprappers and ask further doubts in the discussion. Very sorry if it bothers you, DjDemonD.by Pawan - General
Srek, do you use fan on merlin? DO the airbrush nozzles directly available in market last long or do you replace them periodically?by Pawan - General
Yes...They hit the end stops but do not stop.by Pawan - General
Has anyone tried steel nozzles? Please share your views/ experiences.by Pawan - General
Its good. You use Merlin for only PLA or even ABS. how often does it jam when using PLA?by Pawan - General
I have seen some people using ducts around fans to direct air towards the print? When is such a setup required and why?by Pawan - General
Hey Srek, can you tell me more about ur Merlin hot end? Any blogpost explaining the design or any picture/section view?by Pawan - General
Yes when I press with hand.by Pawan - General
All this is fine...Why the carriages do not stop when end stops are hit is the mystery.by Pawan - General
Yes...Just playing around until the carriages do not stop after hitting end stops.by Pawan - General
Firmware:Marlin latest, Printer: Prusai3by Pawan - General
Srek, E3D Lite has PTFE tube half way into the heater block and also touches the nozzle. Even with all gradient the temperature must definitely cross 220C. How come its working at that temperature?by Pawan - General
End stops are working. But when an end stop hit that axes are not stopping.by Pawan - General
Whats the most practical and easy way to use auto bed leveling probe with glass/acrylic build plate? Is acrylic plate recommended as its melting point is 160C so should technically spoil when close to the nozzeby Pawan - General
ggherbaz, do share your data in this thread when you have it. PTFE glass transition temperature is 115C, so how can it be brought close to the heater block/nozzle whose temperature is above 200C?by Pawan - General
Does any one know the nozzle material of Stratasys FDM printers?by Pawan - General
It tried homing of a Cartesian printer with delta code. All three axes move but they do not stop when end steps were hit. I am curious why as all linear motion should stop when end stop is hit even in delta. Can any one explain this anomaly?by Pawan - General
Do we need to have an end stop height adjustment on a delta printer with auto bed leveling?by Pawan - General
That sounds like a nice idea ggherbaz. IS there any existing hot end of this type?by Pawan - General
I think aluminium is the best material for nozzle...It has both twice the thermal conductivity and twice the specific heat capacity of brass. Is there any way to reduce wear like by increasing material around the nozzle hole or some coating? Any Al alloy wear resistant to an extent?by Pawan - General
What about copper nozzle? Has anyone tried?by Pawan - General
Why do people choose brass for the nozzle? Aluminium alloys or SS do not serve the purpose?by Pawan - General
How would a heater block plus nozzle machined from one block of brass perform in comparison to aluminium block? Wouldn't the PTFE liner spoil if put such close to the nozzle like E3D lite?by Pawan - General
Suggest a hot end design for only PLA printer which can be made much cheaper than E3D all metal hot end but works equally effective.by Pawan - General
ggherbaz, Can you elaborate on the problems you faced?by Pawan - General
