I've had this issue also, but only when using Kliment's Sprinter firmware. I switched back to johnnyr's modified tonokips and the issue went away. I assumed it was a firmware issue, but this thread makes me wonder if something else was causing it.by xchristopherx - General
I've used a peek/ptfe hybrid for about a month now without issue. Before that, I went through four PTFE only thermal insulators; one of which was only in commission for a few hours.by xchristopherx - General
Printer steppers usually have a pulley already attached to it. I don't know how they attach the pulleys, but its near impossible to get it off. It won't be the same pitch or tooth amount that Mendel calls for, but you can work around that, although you'll need to source the same pitch belts. The stepper shaft length will vary in different printers; too short of a shaft won't work with a Mendel. Aby xchristopherx - General
I have too used RepSnapper to generate gcode and I've seen this problem. it's an issue with the stl file and repsnapper interpreting it. The way to spot if you have a bad stl/repsnapper model is: after you generate the gcode, if there are any yellow/purple streaks away from your model, thats where your printhead will end up trying to move. I've moved on to using skeinforge for my gcode generatby xchristopherx - RepSnapper
