I think your main issue will be getting it square, otherwise once in place it should work quite well I'd think.by briangilbert - General

Hi All You may know of our extruder the Zesty Nimble, we've been working on several new products and one is now ready for beta testing. It is a water cooled replacement heat sink for the E3D V6 hot end. We started a beta test program with existing customers, and one has had to drop out. This may be lucky for you as we are seeking expressions of interest from people who would like to fill thby briangilbert - General
QuoteSrek I spent one year of my spare time developing and testing the Merlin hotend. I tend to become a bit defensive if someone claims a print is of good quality despite the hotend beeing used, especially when that person never used it himself. The Merlin has some shortcomings, a lack of print quality is not one of them. Srek I'm interested in making one of these, could you please outline whaby briangilbert - General

@Srek could you please link to what you mean by magnetic foil?by briangilbert - General
Not to derail the cool work going on here, but just checking that you are aware of the Nimble extruder that we sell at ? It's weight is significantly less (~27g), and it's possibly smaller in size too: The standard 950mm drive cable we sell weighs 58g. Assuming the full cable weight was borne by your carriage/effector (which we know it isn't) this would make the total weight around 85g we bby briangilbert - General

It's possible that I've not had the effector droop issue because I have always keychain retractor on the wires coming from my effector to the control board..by briangilbert - General
@leadinglights How heavy is your effector assembly, my delta with a Cyclops doesn't have this problem.. perhaps it's because I'm using Nimbles as the extruders..by briangilbert - General
I case your wondering we ship worldwide..by briangilbert - For Sale
Looks like there are a few things posted there forums.reprap.org/list.php?94 Including a 15 euro sale on Nimblesby briangilbert - General
The Zesty Technology store Black Friday/ Cyber Monday sale has now started, if you want a Nimble at the cheapest it's ever been (15 euros off a Nimble), now is your chanceby briangilbert - For Sale
Have you looked at the Berd Air approach? I made my own, and then eventually converted to tusk approach that I read about at: Source for the parts I ordered: Pump: (ask for 12 or 24v) Silicon tubing: Aluminium tubing:by briangilbert - Plastic Extruder Working Group

@Trexation Just a heads up that a HEPA filter is not enough to deal with VOC's, probably worth trying to track down the paper mentioned inby briangilbert - General
Here is where my exhaust goes, straight out the window.. The fan I'm using for exhaust is a beast.. so no issues at all with exhausing the air, I usually just have it runnning slow, but it's a jet engine if you run it at full speed.by briangilbert - General
@omerod168 Both Lykle and myself that developed the Nimble use the Duet board, no issues at all, just need to make sure you have settings set correctly which we have well documented, we also hapily help people that get stuck with the docs.by briangilbert - Ormerod
Here's what I did.. (have since run the exhaust hose out the window)..by briangilbert - General
@Trexation I would have submitted but you don't have an option for "already have a filtration or exhaust setup"..by briangilbert - General
I've printed X60 filament successfully using the Zesty Nimble. This is the most flexible filament I've been able to find (photo below isn't mine). (the flexion extruder is also an option if your happy to keep stepper on carriage) The Nimble main unit weighs in at around 26grams (currently the worlds lighhtest extruder thats on the market), drive cables vary with length but usually only a peby briangilbert - General

@ax2013 you can source magnetic rods from Haydn here:by briangilbert - Delta Machines
If you platform is twisting just from Bowden tube I'd expect the weight of a stepper on your effector is going to cause just as many problems, what are you using for rod connection to your effector and carriages? My Delta originally had a lot of slop in the carriage and effector system that was totally removed when I did this modification: So I'd highly suggest looking into magnetic zero lashby briangilbert - Delta Machines
@Origamib I don't recall ever having problems with getting PLA to stick on Printbite once I bumped the temperature high enough, it did need a much higher temp for all materials I used it with than other bed materials I've tried. if it wasn't for the issues I had with IR sensor based bed levelling, which I think are because I put it on raw Aluminium, I assume painting it black first would likelyby briangilbert - General
