Hi Guys. I can't quite get rid of lines on my delta printer. Here are my comparison cubes. Top photo is Duet Wifi: 0.2mm layer height = diagonal lines Bottom left photo SKR at 0.1618 layer height = salmon skin Bottom right photo is SKR 0.2mm layer height = diagonal and vertical lines This is my config, not sure if 0.1618 is the correct layer height. #define XYZ_FULL_STEPS_PEby totalitarian - Delta Machines
Reading of the Z probe is disabled during the x and y probe movements and during the printby totalitarian - General
The only axis that moves during a probe will be Z. Providing you use low jerk during the probe, there is very little chance of a false trigger. If you sandwich it between the motor like mentioned above, even less chance.by totalitarian - General
It should be fine. I can trigger mine just by banging my desk or tapping a fan. These piezos are super sensitive.by totalitarian - General

Also I need to documentation on how to set this up. I think I read somewhere that the backlash needs adjusting?by totalitarian - General
OK, I have the flex3drive installed on my printer using a ramps 1.4 board. I'm having a little issue. Retractions are loud! Running 2 different drivers set at 1/16 (I think) for testing A4988 (buzzing when extruding / stalling on retract - tried various vrefs between 0.2 and 1.0) TMC2100 (nice and silent when extruding / no stalling on retract but certainly not silent / can feel vibration ofby totalitarian - General
Thanks. How can they justify £12 shipping though! RS components have them free next day deliveryby totalitarian - General
Has anyone got a link to the 20mm piezo discs? I broke mineby totalitarian - General
I still don't get how the piezo is triggered with the titan bracket. The groovemount makes sense to me but not the bracket lolby totalitarian - General
Much appreciated!by totalitarian - General
Quoteleadinglights Quotetotalitarian My bed is sat on 4 corner springs. Will this work with the under bed setup? I only ask because the PCB only has 3 piezo inputs............... You can work with 4 corner springs But, and it is a big but, with 4 mounts the forces on the springs will mostly be trying to bend the plate, or bend the carriage and one of the adjusting nuts will likely be looser thanby totalitarian - General

Hi, Can you help me track down the source of an issue I seem to be having with your e3d lite6 / 104gt thermistor combo. When used together I get oscillations in temperate as shown below. (ignore the portion in the middle) I'm running marlin firmware on a ramps 1.4 board. I have tried Auto PID & Manual PID. Been through the full range of thermistor types in Marlin (including type 5 as reby totalitarian - Printing
Thanks, for some reason that didn't work as expected. Noticed this in the configuration_adv.h file //homing hits the endstop, then retracts by this distance, before it tries to slowly bump again: #define HOMING_BUMP_DIVISOR {2, 2, 4} // Re-Bump Speed Divisor (Divides the Homing Feedrate) changed it to //homing hits the endstop, then retracts by this distance, before it tries to slowly bumpby totalitarian - General
OK i'm having a hell of time with this firmware (marlin) When I do a G28 it homes x & y and then homes z. It then seems to do a double z home but at a slower rate. This is slower rate causes a crash. Any idea how to get around this?by totalitarian - General
I'll post some design ideas in that thread and get some additional piezo discs ordered.by totalitarian - General
My bed is sat on 4 corner springs. Will this work with the under bed setup? I only ask because the PCB only has 3 piezo inputs. Also, could we have a drilled piezo disc sandwiched between the the spring and the carriage or does it need a more elegant solution ?by totalitarian - General
Can I PM you, I have the mount installed but get no red led on the pcb (v1.22) also unsure how the piezo leads should connect to it...by totalitarian - General
Thanks, you did but it needed to be twice at long for my CR-10. It original had a melzi board with 2 pin end stops. No worries, almost got it going. Just need to modify my mount nowby totalitarian - General
It's a ramps board, I have 3 pins on the z-min (board end) so I can make up a new cable.by totalitarian - General
Quick question my piezo arrived today thanks, my existing z endstop only has 2 wires but the kits has 3. What do I need to do?by totalitarian - General
Great. Care to share a picture. Once I get my flex3drive I can figure out the best method now I understand the theory. Incidentally, I ordered my piezo kit Thursday, how long does it take to ship (UK)by totalitarian - General
Ultimately i'm moving to a flex3drive. Is there already an option for that? If not, looks like i'll be designing oneby totalitarian - General
Ah I doubt I could mount my mounter in front of the bracket as it would limit the printable area of my bed. Could it not sandwich between the motor bracket and extruder?by totalitarian - General
Thanks I may be dim and obviously it works but I can see how the hot end pushing up does anything to the bracket. The reason I ask is that I would to use a modify this thing to use a piezo sensor but can't quite wrap my head around how to do it. I though I would get away with the groove mount part but as it's direct drive, it doesn't fit the setupby totalitarian - General
Pardon my ignorance but I how do these work. I understand the one that fits to the top of the groove mount, the pressure from the nozzle touching the bed, squashes the piezo which produces a voltage. How do they work when the piezo is mounted to the titan bracket? such as hereby totalitarian - General
No problem, appreciate the help.by totalitarian - Firmware - Marlin
