Hi, I installed the EXOslide Rail system. But I have to install a second lead screw. I have everything setup with 2 stepper motors running off of 1 ic chip. I set Vref of Z to 1V. My issue is getting the Limit switch to stop both motors. Right now the switch stops only the left motor. i tried manually pressing the switch and both motors stop. I wonder if my ics can handle both stepper motors? I aby Johnmg - Mechanics
I am adding 2 new 2mmx2mm start 1 ACME lead screws. It seems to me that I could just take the formula for calculating extrusion amount. Which is basically running the Z Axis up, lets say 50mms And plugging the difference into the formulas for E Extrusion. Can some one tell me if that would work or why it would not work. Because one you find the right formulas it seems simpler to me.by Johnmg - Prusa i3 and variants
Yep, good discussion. I got a infared temperature thermometer. Or what ever you call the product. My Tevo Tornado 2018 Bed I found out is 10 or 20 degrees from what I set the temperature in Simplify3D. I see that the outer edges are around 5-7 degrees cooler than the center. I also found that if I let the bed stableize for a few minutes the bed temp rases to about 10 degrees off. So far it seemsby Johnmg - Duet
;just a thought run a M119 command and see if all endstop sensors show Closed. I did not see that I had a cable caught between my hotend and the Z endstop sensor.by Johnmg - General
YES, Z_SAFE_HOMING was enabled. I have a new issue. My X and E Axis motors are not working at all. Y and Z motors work fine. All motors were working when I installed Marlin 1.1.x bugfix. Then I tried installing marlin Tevo Tornado Master firmware and this is when my motor issues started. Originally, I installed the Tevo Tornado Master and it works perfectly. Then I deleted the firmware off my comby Johnmg - Firmware - Marlin
Hello all, I have the Tevo Tornado 2018 gold edition printer. This printer used the MKS_Gen_L 1.0 board and A4988 Green version stepper driver chips. I upgraded this printer to a E3D v6 Gold hotend and a Zesty Nimble v1.2 Direct Drive system. I also upgraded my PWS to a MeanWell PWS. Edited and upload Marlin 1.1.x bugfix version to the printer. Board ype in the Configuration.h file is the BOARD_Mby Johnmg - Firmware - Marlin
I am installing a e3d v6 gold edition hotend and Zesty Nimble 1.2v. Your replay of running M501 and M500 to save worked for me. Thank You, Thank You Thank You!by Johnmg - Reprappers
I just verified the results. I uploaded the firmware with 300c as the MAXTEMP. And Yes, the Max value I can set my printer to is 285cby Johnmg - Firmware - Marlin
This discussion answered my question. Thank You. I wanted to add in my case I am installing a e3d V6 gold edition hot end. I am using The RAMP_14_EFB firmware on my 2018 gold edition Tevo Tornado printer. This printer uses the mks_Gen_L 1.0 board. I have noticed 2 things... First the fan (and I think the Hotend) is wired up backwards. YES, Backwards. I replaced my fans with 2 new fans. One bloweby Johnmg - Firmware - Marlin
